@BonoBGood the manila embassy has a pay call center, for questions or scheduling interviews you have to use the call center - it cost 18$ us or equivalent in philippine pesos. I guess they did this because of the volume at that particular embassy. kinda rediculious, thankfully though for my direct calls i have international on my phone so its not as expensive as it could be. but i will check out skype - sounds like i may need to use it soon, however the 18$ is for a 1 800 number and i still have two charges left on it.

Hang in there Nat....I just came back from the DR visiting my SO. I was hoping to have my noa2 when I got back and nothing. I think I'm going to call just to tell someone off to let out some frustration! Did you see people with feb noa2 date are getting approved? This is ridiculous!

I just called, and they gave me the same story about being within the normal processing times. I wanted to cry when I hung up ! This is SO UNFAIR!

Joshua, have you checked out Skype recently? The dropped a sweet iPhone app and added half a dozen new countries for unlimited calling at 6 bucks a month. They just added Colombia and I'm saving beaucoup cash! It's worth taking a look.

I've finally managed to stop being frustrated. What helps is that I know if we get approved now, the interview would probably be in late June/early July... but that's when I'll be in the middle of a month-long task at work, and wouldn't be able to go. So as long as we get approved before my next trip to Jamaica (May 16) and get a late July/August interview, I'll be content. But if it takes longer than that,

Nat, I want our interview for July b/c I already booked a place for our wedding in September, and I want him to be here early enough for our bridal shower! My embassy is already giving out June appointments. Any later and I will miss July! There are also some other complicated things, but I feel like just throwing the towel in and get married and move down there already. This is ridiculous! At least we would be together already.

I hadn't realized that we all had approx the same NOA1 date. Mr Twister, that is the logical explanation. I hate that calling them doesn't do anything. At my job if we submit tickets for various teams to do stuff, and realize that they are taking too long (as if they forgot about it), we can request a "status update" which at least causes someone to see what the hold-up is. It's frustrating that they wouldn't even say "Hmm. That IS strange that so many after you have been approved. Let me check..."

Yeah, like they can't send an email to see what the hold up is, or a ticket like you said Nat? I might call again to say that! To me, it seems that the same thing happened to the people who filed in November at the end of the month. Freaking sucks.

unreal....all those laste Jan approvals today and still not a single Dec 29 approval!!! This really stinks and there is something obviously wrong. Well I'm not going to call every day and get into trouble but I will call them once in a while and mention what I've seen here.

What do you mean by 'get into trouble'? Who do you even call? Cereza, did you get a person when you called this morning? Or does a recording tell you you're within the 6 month processing time?

Well I really don't remember off the top of my head but basically you act like you pretty much have no account info and you will than eventually reach an operator.

Seeing that none of the Dec 29 cases have been handled its hard to sit back and do nothing.

I filed in late November and the delay you late December files are experiencing is similair to my experience. My NOA1 was December 2nd and all other VSC VJ'ers with that date were approved at least 1-3 weeks before my April 14th approval. Most with my NOA1 were approved between March 20th-27th. It makes no sense (to me at least) as to how they process the cases....for sure though they do not process them exactly in the order they are received or else we wouldn't see such a variance.

Meanwhile it has been 2 plus weeks since my NOA2 and my case has not reached NVC yet. Arggghhhhh!!!!!!!
