I don't know Mr. Twister...but I feel even worse when I see people before me who are still waiting. There are even people months ahead of us still waiting. It makes me nervous that I could be one of those people who have to wait for months. I hope it's not stuck in a name check. But all 12/29 noa1 people still have not been approved :(

I think we are it. But there are atleast 5 other people with the same noa1 date as me. I wish people who belong in January filings would stay there. So depressing to see. I don't even read the other months. I'm going to see my honey tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get it by the time I come back. Hang in there Nat!

Have fun! I see mine on May 16, so I'm counting down the days. I'm hoping for an NOA2 by my birthday, which is next Tuesday. Of course, I'll be happy for it to come sooner.

Yup. That's what you wonder about.

Mr Twister, I doubt kids would cause your petition to sit longer. From reading the Q&A with a former Adjudicator, whoever gets your file will be happier, because he or she can count each person as an approval & get higher numbers.

Perhaps ours are all in the same box somewhere, maybe under the desk of a person out sick or on vacation. I don't even want to think the box is misplaced on the shelf.

Nat when I saw everyone getting their approvals so quickly, I automatically got my hopes up. But I should be more like you and just wait for the date that VJ says I will prob get. That will make me calm down I guess.

Both of these weeks have just been horrible for December. We were off to such a great start, then they skip to January!!! What the heck is going on!! At least I know the rest of the people with my date are stuck too :(

Cereza, I don't think there are too many forum participants from December waiting. There's you... there's me.... Anyone else?

Yep I'm here wondering why I was skipped....now into Jan and it kind of makes you feel like "oh oh, something is wrong" call and ask quetions and all you get is the standard answer that we are now proc the month of August. Yea rite!!!

I dont know I though about why my case might be taking longer and at this point I'm thinking it might be because there are kids involved but who knows...

There is no rhyme or reason to why some cases take longer. My case is straight forward and I haven't even been touched :( Wishing you luck

ill pray tonight for all those still waiting,, a bunch of us that were approved are still in ap at nvc so i do feel youre pain!!!good luck dec filers!!!!!

I feel as if we're in AP with DHL. Packet left NVC on 14 April, I tracked it online with DHL, and it arrived in South Africa on 16 April. The shipment was stopped on Saturday 18 April....and it's still there. Every morning it gets scanned and still says shipment stopped, so it's now been a week that it's just waiting at the depot to be delivered to the consulate  #######!

Beans, could you not pick your packet up on the DHL system to rack it?

To those of you still waiting for your NOA2, you're all still in my thoughts and prayers, I havent forgotten you. Strongs! :star:

Good luck everyone, its a imperfect system as we all know. I hope everyone is approved soon, i know i am a january filer, but i been with you guys since the first few pages. im scaired of the choice for using DHL, i wished they used Fedex or at least ups but DHL is the low budget, unreliable carrier. cheaper but definitely not better than the other two.

I got another question, since i lost my job the cash flow is getting tight - orginally i planned on going to the embassy interview with Angela. But now if i went its to the point were it would cut into the money i have set aside to get married and go on a honey moon. My question is it necessary that i attend the consulate interview. Im under the impression that it is not required but i want to make sure sooner as opposed to later were if indeed i need to be there i can make arrangements.

I am still in the K1 process... but I recently went to the USEM in Warsaw with my SO to help her get her tourist visa. She was denied a tourist visa back in September 2008. I can tell you that if it were not for me being with her, she would have been denied again. I say this, because from my point of view... I think I would go to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible and worry about the honeymoon later... but that is just me.

Good luck,

Richard

From what I've seen in the Philippines discussions, they generally don't allow the USC in during the interview itself. I agree it could make a statement about ingoing relationship if you're sitting in the waiting room. But I see most going through the interview with the USC present.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

I called NVC again last night to check if they had received our papers from VSC yet (NOA 2 on April 14th so one week & 2 days since approval). The answer was again NO so I called USCIS as well.

Their response was just ridiculous. The first customer service agent I spoke to said K1s don't go to NVC - they go directly to the embassy :bonk: so then I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor came on and told me that while he knows from experience that K1s do go to NVC, instructions on the USCIS system advise all of customer service agents that K1s go directly to embassy?!? :wow:

I then ask if he can tell me where my petition is, has it left VSC and what is the delay in getting to NVC. The supervisor then says to please bear with him while he reads his notes. The line went quiet for a minute and he then said that he was going to transfer me to a higher level of support. I’m thinking great! Maybe this person will be able to tell me exactly where my petition is……

The next agent answers the line with his agent id and then goes quiet. So I ask whether or not he needs my receipt number. He replies ”You must ask me a direct question first- I can only answer direct questions.” :help:

Who is this guy??!! I feel like I was dropped into some sort of USCIS Area 51 or something…… So then I ask:

Do you know my receipt number: “Yes”

Has my application been sent to NVC? “your application has been approved”

Is my application in AP? “There is no such process called AP”

What is the physical location of my application right now? “Probably at VSC

He then breaks from his Q&A format and tells me that it always takes 2-4 weeks and can be up to 90 days for the application to go from USCIS to NVC. I say that I have evidence that this is not always the case I have seen that more than just a few applications have taken as little as two days to transfer between VSC and NVC.

He replied that I don’t know what I am talking about and he is sure that this not true as this never happens and it always takes min 2-4 weeks. He then finished up by saying that if other people are saying that their applications were transferred quicker than the 2-4 weeks that those people are not telling the truth.

ARGGHHHHH….did they outsource their customer service to aliens or what??!!!!:wacko:
