December '08 Vermont K-1 Filers

Yasser - Yes, the last time my case was updated at USCIS website was 12.16.08. It hasn't been touched since. We don't have any sort of expedite or anything (I wish we did ). I am in the same long waiting boat as everyone else. I'm not sure why I got those early touches. They were probably just putting it on a shelf somewhere

I've been watching wishfully as some of the September CSC filers are getting their NOA2s. I haven't seen any VSC filers from Sept yet though. VSC seems to have slowed down unfortunately. What I'm hoping though, is CSC slows down after the holiday and VSC picks up with all their people coming back from vacation and stuff. Here's hoping

There is seemingly no rhyme or reason to how they pick who. Most of those getting approved don't seem to have expedites. There is hope for us all!

I made a very careless mistake with my I-129F submission. I got a Notice of Action letter from USCIS along with my original petition application and supporting docs due to the 'numerical and written amount' not matching up on the check that I issued...

Im thinking middle of Jan the service centers will fire up and start putting out approvals, they are behind now because of the holidays so they will need to make up ground lost. I wish you all Good Luck in the new year and hope you all get your Noa2's in a timely manor.

When you check the status online, it will say "Last Updated." If that date changes, it means your file has been 'Touched.' It won't change the status of your file or give you anymore details, but some action has been taken.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays as much as possible, without your loved one. Let's hope for some speedy approvals!!

We keep on moving backwards on Igor's list...we used to be 434...now we are 444... yikes!

mmm why do you think this might be?

Just because more people are adding on time-lines, maybe a little delayed from when they filed?

Curious if anyone knows....

Also, anyone have an idea of how many *other* filers are out there who are *not* on VJ (and therefore not on Igors list)? You think it's twice as many, 3 times? maybe 10 times?

Mamaronga - Same thing here. We started at 432, were down to 427, now up to 434! I hate it.

It looks like the list is going from the sent dates and I am cursing those. Don't you think it should go by Noa1 dates since that's when USCIS actually starts the process by putting us in a box?

Moving backward is an aweful feeling. I know it doesn't mean a whole lot, and it is just an estimate after all...

But it makes me cranky.

Its most likely because more people are finding the site and adding the time lines. If someone who filed before you joins VJ and adds there time line it will move you down the list, but its nothing to be concerned about. Good Luck everyone.

I know what you mean, i was checking my bank account everyday before my check was cashed. Now i'm waiting to receive my NOA1 in the mail. The last time i checked the USCIS site i was touched on 12/2/08. Just hang tight, your check will be cashed soon.

Welcome Roglover !! Yah, now that i know for sure my NOA1 has been received, i'm just going to seriously start filling out my I-134, I'm also trying to wait till after i file my tax return for 2008 before i request for my tax transcripts. Then i got to prepare a sample letter for my job so they'll know what i need for my employment letter. That's probably all for now, other than just waiting.......

Roglover - welcome to the waiting game! To prep for the Noa2, so far we've been collecting extra copies of papers we only had singles of at the time of filing and I've been trying to print out phone logs, email logs, and chat logs every week or so so it's not such a big chore down the road.
