5 questions? how do i know nvc recieved my petition,

1 can it get stuck there,

2 how do i check status like uscis had,

3 i made a mistake on my petition i wrote for consulate city lahore but its actally islamabad wii that cause a problem and should i call and let nvc

4 know or will they send it to the islamabad since thats the only place that handles the interviews and stuff.

5 i am not full time at work and i only have the current tax return i make well above the poverty line, but not being full time will that cause a problem i can get a letter from my employer stating how much salary i make yearly even as part time.. (someone told me it wont be if i had 3 yrs of tax returns but i only have one year)

Yay approvals! I faxed in my request for my police cert. today, and I'm going to the doctor today for some shots, and then tomorrow I'm going to Costco for some cheap passport photos!

How much are they at Costco?

The cheapest I paid is $0.19 cents for 6 passport photos. I used my digitcal camera, portraitbooth.com, and Walgreens.

From what i've experienced NVC usually receives your petition a week or 2 after you get your NOA2. They will send you a letter in the mail once they receive it. Sorry you can't check your status online like uscis they do have a number

NVC # (603) 334-0700 you can call and ask about your case and find out if they have it. The question about what city they will send your case, i wouldn't worry about that because they already know that islamabad handles the interview so that's were they will send your case. Now the question about not having 3 years worth of tax return i'm not too sure what the answer to that is, but try to ask some people that will be going through the same consulate as you they might be able to help.

The last two Mondays have been pretty quiet, but it picks up nicely for the rest of the week.

On the topic of US Compliant passport images, as they can be hard to come by outside of the US, some people might want to check out http://www.paspic.com/ . Not the cheapest but very affordable (£5 / $5), you take a picture of yourself against a clear background and their system resizes it and they check it manually against the guidelines both before and after it's printed, then mail a set of 3 to you.

Obviously you will have had your first set already taken, just wanted to throw out another option for those people who didn't know it existed and paid far too much for them. I'm glad I found the site, professional photographer was charging £60 per set.
