Here is something positive to think about. Vermont seems to have really gotten their act together. They are out performing California. According to my timeline, the projected NOA 2 approval is between May 16, 2009 and May 29, 2009. I checked on the California list and tried to find someone that has the same NOA 1 date. I found someone that is one day later and their projected NOA 2 approval is between March 16, 2009 and March 23, 2009. That is two months difference. If Vermont stays on its current pace, our time estimates would definately start changing in our favor. Of course California will change not in their favor. I would be happy with something in the middle. I will say MY NOA 2 approval will be between April 16 and April 29. No true science, but some thought and some wishful thinking. I know they are just estimates, but I choose to make a positive out of it.

Good things come to those who wait.

While I am here...lol, I have a question. I realize all the information on approvals on this site are due to people filling out timelines. When it says 34 have been approved out of the VSC that it means 34 have been approved out of the VSC that have taken the time to come to this site AND fill out a timeline. Is there or has there ever been an accurate estimation of what percentage of people that file I-129F petitions come to this site AND fill out a timeline. 10%, 25% or more. I am curious how many approvals are actually coming out of VSC.

Good things come to those who wait.

One more thing...talk of how we communicate and keep in touch. Well, I go to Bogota as much as I possibly can. I call 2, 3, 4 times a day. We text back and forth too. We use to e-mail alot, but now it is usually just to send pictures or to explain something in detail. Mesenger programs we haved used and still use, but our schedules make it difficult sometimes. Mostly call on the phone. I love her voice. When I actually hear her it means more than when I see her in a messenger program. I know, I know, men are visual, but I love to hear her voice and I can detect her mood so much better when I hear her.

Good things come to those who wait.

PurpleFrog, I agree. I'm thinking mid- to late-April for the NOA2. VJ estimates are always in flux, but I think that date range seems accurate.

I'm wondering what's up with California. I may be moving out there before my NOA2 and seeing them slow down now is a bit concerning. Someone with the same NOA1 date as me (12/8) has an NOA2 estimate of mid- to late-March!! But I bet that'll change with the CSC's productivity dropoff.

I just wish I knew why the approval speeds were so fickle!! I feel like if I understood the process, and took the mystery out of it - made it more transparent - I don't think I'd be so anxious. I'd just relax and let the wheels of government churn!!

In any regards - whether I move to Cali or not, I will stay active in this thread and we'll continue this process together as a team!!

Remember this?...

Well boys and girls, a lot of us are officially one month into the fun. That's some solid progress. If we were filing at CSC we would have been approved by now :bonk:

Just kidding.

I think soon we'll start to move along much faster and CSC's employees will be so burnt out they'll all go on vacation at the same time, and NO ONE at CSC will be approved for three months, and we will dance on their petitions as they gather dust.

Oh. I said that out loud didn't I?

 MUWAHWAH

Well it's official. We will be approved any minute. And look at CSC? I am dancing on their petitions ;) Mwahahahaha.....

We're up to 352. In just a couple of weeks. I can't believe it. It's crazy! And exciting! And I REALLY need to get those papers ready! lol

We've also been keeping a very close eye of the amount of approvals coming out of Vermont recently. Since the beginning of the year Vermont has approved 157 petitions in 25 work days, so that works out to over 6 a day. If they keep up that rate, assuming all petitions are approved from August to November they will reach the December petitions in about 42 work days (8 weeks). So there is a distinct possibility some of us could be approved in April/May time.

Fingers crossed Vermont keeps up the current rate for the months ahead. :)
