EAD alone in NY

Hi,

I have just sent out my EAD application alone for my hubby, since we want to wait for a few more months and just get the 10 years green card. I have read many posts here that people are sending their application to Chicago. From what I understand on the EAD instruction packet, if filing alone, I should send it to Vermont directly since I am in NY. Am I right? Did I make a mistake? My hubby is so bored at home and wish to work soon.

Also, anyone here from NY too? What's your timeline like? Will my hubby get EAD approval in the next two months?

Yes if you are applying for EAD based on (A )(9 ) "Life Act K-3 visa, it is sent directly to VSC.
