I just started the K-1 visa process. Based on the infromation I am reading here it appears that my application process should all go through about 9/2008. My fiance and I are planning on going to Ireland in 12/2009 over the New Year Holiday. If we get married prior to this date (if the K-1 is issued ofcourse) should we file for his advance parole at the local servicing office? Seems to me if I apply for his adjustment of status and advace parole at the same time he may not get the approval prior to 12/2009. Any suggestions or other experiences would be greatly appreciated :)

You must file first the I-485/I-131 with the USCIS (Chicago Lockbox/National Benefits Center)... If AP is not approved before your need arises, then you can visit the local office....

YMMV

Thank you so much, I know it was early to ask but I like to be prepared, plus I have to start paying for the trip to Ireland :)
