Woke up this morning at 7am to a message from Delbros saying that our visas will be delivered today. I could not contain my excitement and was unable to concentrate much on work. Arrived home past 1pm, welcomed by two packages on the table....our passports and visas!!! Couldn't be a better gift to come home to :) :) :)

So, I opened the plastic pouches to get the passports and called CFO to ask about registering Alec and getting the stickers. Told to photocopy the Immigrant Data Summary that was attached to the MYE (not MBE --- Mysterious Brown Envelope --- because the envelope was Yellow :D ) as well as the visa itself and the passport. Did this with my scanner as the quality is much, much better.

As I was putting the envelopes back into the plastic pouch, I noticed an additional annotation on Alec's Data Summary..."Class A or B TB - requires attention of USPHS (US Public Health Service) at POE". What does this mean? I was not advised anything at SLEC. Is this because of her positive skin test? What is going to happen at the POE?

Still I am very thankful for getting our visas quite fast... 2 days after our interview. :star:

We are quite definite on leaving April 7th after Alec's graduation and getting her grades. Would be a little of 4 months since the medical. Looking at a Chicago POE. And you?

Was not told anything about that by SLEC. Am guessing this is the Quantiferron test. Our poor babies will get yet another stab in the arm.....

NWA is good, I hear but what I don't like is the 2 change of planes prior to POE...at least that's what I saw when I was looking for a MNL-Chicago O'hare flight.

Anyway, I am just concerned about how long Alec's medical results will be valid. Will it still be 6 months for her or is it reduced to 3 months? An early February trip to the Midwest....BRRRRRR! But if that is the case and we need to be in the US at least by then, then I don't have much of a choice.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That was really fast.

My daughter had the same annotation in her visa but at that time of her medical exam at SLEC, she was taking up meds for primary complex. When we got here, the POE didn't say anything about it but when we had her meds refill after a check up with the family doctor, the matter was reported to the local health department that required us to have her checked by a pedia pulmonologist. No pricks anymore, just some questions about the history and we were asked to continue the medication for INH for 4 months beginning the time she had it first time. Now she's done with her medication.
