Hi,

I am a bankruptcy specialist with the US Federal Government.

The INS does not care if you have or will file for bankruptcy.

This is your right as a US Citizen.

They will not ask for your debts only for your income.

Bankruptcy filing should not harm you as far as immigration is concerned.

If you have not yet filed your bankrutpcy just make sure that your most recent income tax and any business tax returns are filed or your Bankruptcy case will not move forward.

Bankruptcy filings are up 40% from last year.

Good Luck.
