PLEASE HELP!!!

I have applied for the K3 Visa but the time apart from my husband is taking too long. He wants to come to stay with me in South Africa until my papers have been approved. But if he does this he will loose his job. What then happenes when we have to file the affidavid of support? can we just use his parents as a sponser? cause we will both be unemployed and going back over together. Or will it just be a better idea for him to stay in the USA and keep his job? I really dont know what to do!! I want him here so badly but not if it will jeapodise our K3!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

kirstg,u have already waited for so long... a few more months and will be over. everyone feels the same as u feel. after this will be over, ull have a life time to spend together. how I see it, might be better to not risk anything. ofc u can have his parents as co-sponsor, but co-sponsor implies a main sponsor, which would be yr husband. if he loses his job, this might not work in yr advantage. besides, look at whats going on in the world right now. wouldnt be only risky, but not very wise either. is difficult to live apart, but at least like this u know when u finaly get there, u r settled and safe. maybe a better idea would be for him to visit u. upcoming holidays would give him this oportunity without missing too much from work. is how i see it, anyways. best of luck, and be curageous.

and more thing to add. i am afraid that immigration ppl wont see his decision as a result of missing u (if theyd care about that, wouldnt make this process so long), but as a sign of being irresponsable, therefore maybe not fit to bring a spouse in us and support her. is not my thinking, is what i suspect would be their thinking.

:innocent: Please take heed to this very good advise. All of us are either going through or have beenthrough what you and your fiancee are experiencing right now. Sacarafice more time for now while being a bit more patient waiting for the paperwork, It will be to your advantage in the future. And the way the economy is now, it wont be so easy to use someone as a co-sponser unless very wealthy. I think that it would be irresponsible(sorry)for your fiancee to leave his job right now, he has to provide for you for the rest of your lives together and jobs arent that easy to come by right now. Be patient, and just pray more. I'm praying with you

I agree - we just finished our interview - we filed in Mar 07, so you can imagine how long it's taken. It took 1 year for my wife and children to arrive. At the interview, they are going to try to find a reason to deny you, so you should just be patient and wait like everyone else.

It seems forever, but it will happen.

Good luck,

Alan

Yeah they are all right and it wont be that long enough... Risking his job is not a good idea especially this time and immigration allow co-sponsoring, but they will also consider your partner's income no matter how small or big it is. So don't make an unwise decision that you will later on regret.

Goodluck, keep yourself busy and don't forget to pray..

Without looking at other responses first, I would say you are better off, much better off, if he stays home and keeps his job. I would be afraid to count on a co-sponsor. I want them to look at ME and see that I meet the requirements alone.
