You get a few bad apples here, but not systemic corruption like in other places.....

In PI I can buy off police, city prosecutors, judges.

You left off our closest neighbors to that list, like Mexico, Venezuela, and Colombia, but Colombia is showing signs of improvement. Supposingly democracies with a congress, supreme court, and an elected president like ours, but where the president takes absolute power over the people. Kind of like here with Bush taking absolute power, but can't seem to get rid of those jerks in those countries. And almost getting that bad here, a democracy can't work if the majority of the citizens are idiots, and we certainly have our share here believing incredibly stupid promises.

We have given our president way too much power for one guy, okay if the guy is good and honest, but he appoints a supreme court justice, like John G. Roberts Jr., that is a salve to the president, and has a salve congress that votes him in, so the president can get away with murder. If the majority of Americans would object to this, it would change, but also brainwashed by the media that supports such moves.

If the people will not stand up, and learn the truth, even our form of government will not work, it's the peoples fault. Some people in Venezuela are waking up to the fact that, that free beer is costing them a hundredfold and is being paid by them through extremely high inflation.
