need info about visa picture for muslim women

I'm a muslim from philippines & i wan't to get an info about visa picture...i have read from USEM site that all pictures should show both ears...& since i'm wearing a scarf i'm kinda confused how should my picture be taken

with my passport & nbi clearance they asked me to show my ears or they wont take my pic & i need the passport & nbi so i hav no choice...if i have my visa picture taken without showing my ears will the embassy accept it? i would gladly be thankful for any info u can give...thanks!

don't worry. concessions are made for religious reasons. all of my pictures for my passport, and for applying for my hubby's cr1 were with my hijab on. explain to them that you wear you scarf for religious reasons and they should make the exception. check on your usem website and it should say that covering your head for religious reasons is ok. if you find that information, print it out and take it with you when you get your photos done. sometimes you just have to speak up and put your foot down.

*ps...when they say both ears should be showing, that is refering to the angle of your face for the photo. meaning you should be looking straight ahead and no to the side, like they used to do it.

it doesn't mean they need to see your ears for identification purposes

i just wrote a letter stating the reasons why my head was covered.... for religiouse reasons not a problem

my wife was cover and nothing happend it's ok with them and we dont send eny letters to explain why she cover it's ok u can take ur pic and u cover dont worry ... good luck

thanks very much for the replies..i was just kinda worried since in my passport & police cert both my ears were showing coz they wont take my pic...insha'allah USEM will accept & respect my pic with scarf & ears covered...thanks again!
