I placed a service request on 24th Oct to upgrade my I-130.Called back on 14th Nov to check if it went through and the lady said she will place another service request to expedite the case as it is out of normal processing time.I haven't heard any thing back,no emails or touches or any thing confirming my upgrade .I was so happy when I got my citizenship cuz I thought things will move faster but it doesnt seem like it.

How long on average does it take to get a response for a request to expedite or a service request??????I was told 45 days , yesterday was the 45th day for my 1st service request so I will check back tomorrow with USCIS but I think they will just try to get me off the line and place another request.

Should I go ahead for K-3 instead of waiting for NOA2???????

When I became a citizen I sent VCS a letter with my husband's info and a copy of my naturalization certificate in the mail.. My case was updated in less than 30 days

I called today and I was told to wait again as they had requested copy of my naturalization certificate on Oct 27th so I have to wait 60 days from the date they requested before they can do some thing else.These people just tell me to wait certain number of days each time I call.I bet now when I call on the 24th Dec(61th day) they will put another service request which is not gonna help and will tell me to wait 45 days more. What shoud I do?????Should I contact my congress-lady to see if that helps or am I just being too impatient??????????????

What did they say about the status of your case? If it is out of the normal timeframe now, I think you need to either find out or have someone check for you.

Otherwise, I am sorry, since I am not too familar what to do.
