Friends

if and when my husband and I would decide to go back to Morocco to visit (sometime in 2010)

can he travel there having a CR1 visa?

can anyone elaborate on what steps he would take in order to leave US and visit Morocco?

I know he can travel on his visa, I don't know if there is anything you have to do before hand. I don't if there is a limit to the time he can be away either.

I am sure someone out there knows.

Did he enter on his CR1? He should receive his green card in the mail soon. At the point he is a conditional permanent resident, read the stamp they gave him at his POE. I am not sure how old he is, but if he's under 26 he should register for selective services. Also in the future you'll need to file to removed conditions.

Now to answer your question, he he can travel with the conditional green card. He is still required to meet the stipulations set in maintaining his permanent resident status. The following should help you: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD
