Despite the old Santy Claus hat that I so cleverly photoshopped onto my avatar here, I don't. I feckin' hate Christmas.

Spending loads of money I don't really have to buy people a bunch of ####### they don't need because I'll look like an a.sshole if I don't...

Ear-splitting Christmas music playing in stores along with tacky decorations everywhere for nearly two months out of the year...

Call me Scrooge McWally if you want, but I think Christmas is gay.

I am perfectly fine at celebrating christmas, but I wouldn't cry if I never had to again.

It really is a pain in the butt spending soo much darn money every year. I hate feeling obligated to send presents to family members that you never see because they sent you a christmas card with a family picture and $50. I also HATE HATE HATE Christmas music! lol Sorry folks!

On the plus side, I'm a decorating freak and when I have time/money to do decorations, I go all out.

I ticked "other" because I actually LOVE Christmas.... but now that I don't live in Canada near my kids, I HATE Christmas.

We have all the kids down to our house for a family celebration with my 3 kids and my husband's 1 daughter (they are all adults). I feel so badly that they have to drive for 3 to 4 hours to get here, sometimes in not very good weather, and when the weekend is over, I am so sad when they leave.

I preferred when everyone could just come over on Christmas day (when I lived in Canada), spend the day with me, and then go home, knowing I'd see them again within a week or so.

I don't feel obligated to buy gifts. We just buy for the kids in the family, and spend no more than $20. Otherwise, I'd probably hate Christmas too.

As for the rest of it, I really enjoy Christmas music, always have. Don't do my own decorations, but appreciate looking at others'.

Nice to have a day off, eat a good meal and I DO like all of the decorations! Pressies are fun too, but if you spend money you can't afford to or buy out of obligation, then that's just your own fault.

Cheers!

I'm off to a holiday party tonight...

Isn't that unreal? I've heard a lot of that lately. What's the friggin' rush already? I mean, you'd think they could at least wait till after Christmas................
