Hi everybody,

I have a few questions about the naturalization process and I think you guys can help me...

I am married to my USC husband and I will be eligible to file for citizenship on Oct 4th, 2009.

But I wonder what will happen if I do not apply for citizenship during the 90 days before the 3rd anniversary?

Can I do it later? Is $675 the correct fee?

any info and help will much appreciate it...thanks all!!

I-751:

10/06/08: Sent I-751

10/21/08: Received NOA

11/13/08: Received Biometrics Letter

11/24/08: Biometrics done in Jacksonville, FL

03/20/09: Case Transferred from VSC to CSC

05/20/09: Received Approval Letter

...Waiting for the card...

07/09/09: Green Card Received

10/01/09: Eligible for Citizenship

8/03/10: Sent N-400 paperwork

9/08/10: Biometrics done

9/26/10: Received Interview letter

10/28/10: Passed interview

Waiting for the Oath ceremony letter =)

You do not have to file for Citizenship as soon as you are eligible. You can file at any time after you become eligible. Check the USCIS website for the current fee.

I applied 7 years later.

My Citizenship Timeline

Service Center : Nebraska

CIS Office : St Paul, MN

Date Filed : 2008-07-31

NOA Date : 2008-08-06

Bio.Rcvd Date : 2008-08-15

Bio. Appt. : 2008-08-28

Interview Date : 2008-12-08

Approved : YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Final Approval 2009-03-16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!File is in line for Oath Schedule

Oath Letter Rcvd: 2009-04-03

Oath Ceremony : 2009-04-30

Total Time So Far: 9 months, 0 days ..WooHoo!!!!!!!! Can You Hear The Sarcasm =)

I AM NOW A US CITIZEN!!!!
