I know Jules has to pay the 750 Peso Airport tax.

The Nuns at St. Marys told her she also needs to pay a tax of 1600 Peso?

What is this tax and does she pay it when she pays the airport tax?

Thank You

Gene

The P1620 fee is the travel tax. Try going to the DFA kiosk in the airport so that you can get a discount.

Yes. It is often included in the airfare. But for e-tickets purchased outside the Phils., it's not included. Check with your agent or your ticket. Also, there are waivers / discounts for migrants and overseas workers.

The travel tax is 1620 peso and applies only to Philippine citizen leaving the country, you need to pay it before you check in with the airline cuz they wont give you a boarding pass until its paid. After you check in and get your boarding pass you will pay the 750 peso departure tax. This applies to everyone traveling not just Filipinos.

We went to Hong Kong for a few days in October the travel tax for my wife and daughter was about 3000 (it was a little less for the baby) and the departure tax for the three of us was 2250..

PHIL. TRAVEL TAX: PHP 1620

NAIA TERMINAL FEE: PHP750.00

It's taxing basic needs like gasoline (which hikes up everything -- including food prices) that I have a problem with.

Most countries have taxes... They just include it in the price of your plane ticket..(not including tourist though)

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Jose Rizal,

Dumb question...To get a discount, will i just go to DFA kiosk and inform the personnel that I'm flying with K1 visa and I'm requesting for a discount?

I am at NAIA2 right now waiting for my flight. Contrary to what I've said, There is no discount as the waiver/discount is only for balikbayans and OFWs and not for first time immigrants.
