Which office does the AOS interview scheduling?

My AOS interview will be in Detroit whenever it's scheduled. I called USCIS today, and all they could tell me was that the interview hasn't been scheduled yet. I sent in my AOS application in July and have had no RFEs, but I saw in another thread where someone applied 6 weeks after me and got his/her interview letter in November for a Detroit interview in February. I'm happy for that person, but meanwhile, I'm still waiting.

My question: which office does the AOS interview scheduling? I would think it would be the local office, i.e., Detroit in my case, but I remember reading that someone got their interview letter from...where was it again? Or maybe I remember wrong.

Our interview date came from the Missouri Service Center (MSC) that processed our case from the start
