Lost GC 2 weeks before vacation

I hope you guys can help me!!!

My husband just called to tell me he lost his wallet which has not only his GC but also his extension document (copy) from INS.....We "were" going to go on vacation on the 29th of December but now I have no idea what to do.

Can someone tell me if we could travel with just the original extension document (I have it in the Safe Deposit Box) THANK GOD....

What are my options?

Oh No! Make an INFO pass appt at your local office ASAP! I believe he can get an extension stamp in his passport.

Yes, make an infopass appointment and get the I-551 stamp in his passport. He needs the green card to go along with the original extension letter. Maybe he will be lucky and will find the wallet with the greencard still in it.
