Obviously, we can't expect all Filipino-Catholics going to Simbang Gabi or mass (I am one who is not a devout of Simbang Gabi even at the time I was still in PI) . So, if this tradition is of Catholic's, why are most Catholic churches in the US doesn't have Simbang Gabi? Btw Vida, thanks for the link. It's a good reference

hmmm... I was thinking the same thing Riza. I consider the cold weather,lol:) Well I heard that there are some places here in US that celebrates it but unfortunately it's not like a tradition like in PI.

Me too Pink. In our province we have it during dawn so it is called "misa de gallo". I make it sure that if I attended 1st dawn tulo2 na hanggang matapos. Ang sarap ng feeling that first thing in the morning nakapagsimba na.

I'm wondering if "Simbang Gabi" is only a Filipino-Catholic tradition or lahat ng Catholics. Anyone knows?

Its a Filipino- Catholic tradition... but not all the Catholic are devoted to the simbang gabi.

the catholic church is just around the corner from our apartment, literally. but they only have simbang gabi for 2 nights! oh well, better than none. christmas feels a lot lonelier without some pinoy traditions.
