There are several with Gambian and Senegalese SO's here. You can search them out by user name if you click on members ( very right left of this page, all the way next to calendars and links ). Click on the country and everyone with the same country shows up in the extended search option.

Use' toggle more options' to get you to the specific country you want.

hey thanks for that link omoba, much appreciated. i spent the last 2 hours reading up on some peoples stories. i cannot comment on individual cases in uk but overall you guys in the states seem to have to wait an awful lot longer for visa's to be processed, i really feel for you all. i take it from reading some of the posts that a medical seems to be a necessity before approval, am i corrrect in this? .... i guess in uk we are so fortuneate in having free medical treatment we forget so quickly what we take for granted over here. my hubby seems to think it just going to be a 2/3 week process in dakar after handing in his application, but i kinda feeling he just building his hopes up to come back to uk asap! ......he had and still has no idea of the amount of information i have gathered on the relevant documents i needed to provide for his application ( which is about to be collected in dakar in next 2 days, phew lol) its already been a stressful process from my side just in attaining that alone lol but hey respect to all you other halves out there coz it a long hard journey and i pray it gonna be worth it for everyone in the end x

Welcome to the site. I don't know a lot about the UK immigration process, but the little I know about it tells me they might be a little more consistent than the US in their laws. The friends I have who went there seem to think that rules in the UK are clearer and more closely followed than the US. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but that was the opinion I got. At any rate, welcome
