My hubby is 5'4" and before we met he was afraid I would be 'one of those tall American women' - but I'm 5"3' and don't like wearing heels so it's all good....

Awww, you can have midget kids with us! I'm 5"4 and my husband is 5"6

Not sure why the study kept using "more children" as the constant measure of proof but I would absolutely agree "women generally like taller men".

In some cultures this seems to be more pronounced than others though.

IN some Cultures women are more ...."practical" shall we say.

They of course like a tall man but, education, earning potential and responsibility accounts for even more.

I would guess a mans height is like a woman with long beautiful hair, both are an "instant attractant" but neither one is a substitute for "substance".

How about these long haired vixens, Danno?

Not really my style, if I didn't know better I might suspect you were baiting me with some tranny action, they kinda have that look .....but you're more of an expert in that field than I.

you pegged it - steven's used that pic before on vj.

personally I always wanted a guy who was taller then me more so because I am on the tall side and I didn't want to tower over the guy...

I ended up with a guy who is the same height as me ... :P

I have always felt that way too...I am 5'10" and have always had a phobia about dating a guy shorter than me. I too ended up with a guy my same height. It has been a little bit of a challenge in that I LOVE my heels and HATE flats (because I wear a size 9 1/2 and they end up looking like skis!) so I've had to go searching for flats that I can still feel a bit sexy in. But in the end it's all worth it--height is a pretty superficial thing in the grand scheme of things.

I'm a shorty (5'-7"), and most of the women I dated were the same height or shorter. I dated a girl in high school/college though who was 5'-10" for about two years. But my biggest accomplishment height-wise was when I hooked up a few times with a girl I used to play in co-ed doubles outdoor volleyball tournaments with...6'-3" :D The shortest woman is the one I ended up marrying...Erika's 5'-1". I don't think we'll be having any future basketball players.

If you're a guy that's not tall, or a woman that doesn't have long hair, may as well just kill yourself now. You have no possibility of ever being happy...studies have found.

I will admit that I do naturally find men significantly taller than me more attractive. But it is just not that they should be tall, but also well-built. It's just so happened that I never dated anyone shorter than me. Most averaged about 6 foot tall. The shortest was 5"8 and he had the smallest ####### I had ever seen on a man in person. Maybe 3 inches hard? I wish I were lying. He was also quite a jerk otherwise. I think we dated for 2-3 months before I kicked myself in the azz for wasting so much time with him and broke up.

I also do have longer hair and my husband loves it. My husband had hair almost as long as mine at one point also though. :P

My wife would be a tad taller than me, if standing on a 13" high box, I never asked her if my height was the reason she was attracted to me, she only commented on my intelligence, kindness, my blue eyes, muscular built, and loves my speaking voice. Whatever she finds attractive in me, sure glad I have it, because I am sure attracted to her. Mutual attraction is perhaps the most important thing.

I am rather tall too (around 5'10"), but always had a thing for short and stocky men (not Seth Green short, but a wee bit shorter than me), before I met Pedro. :blush:Pedro is really tall though and I quite enjoy that. :dancing:

REALLY??? How tall??? I would have put him at about the height you are. LOL
