Hi all;

Our I-130 was recieved by VSC on friday May 26th, 2006 at 7pm. Okay I know then there was a long weekend. That means they should have opened it on Tuesday, May 30th, 2006. But yet the check for fee has not been deposited or money withdrawn from my bank account until today, June 5th, 2006. Does anyone has any idea what might be going on? Is it normal for them to take that long to deposit check?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so frustrating.

It is completely normal and in reality, from May 25 to June 5 timeline for money withdrawn is not long, but rather usual. In average, one should get the first notice, NOA-1 (I-797C) in about 2-3 weeks from the time the I-130 was mailed out to USCIS. It looks like, you will get the first notice very soon, since the applications fee is taken care of. Please take a look at others' timeline to have some ideas about first notice, NOA-1 (I-797C) then approval, NOA-2 (I-797). This whole process requires patience. There is no reason for you to frustrate as of now.
