Hi! I am about to file the I-485. Have to undergo the full I-693 medical along with vaccinations. How much time does it take to get the form completed assuming all is well? Also, is it possible to file the I-485 without the Medical which can be submitted later once completed? Anybody had any experience care to share?

How and when did you enter the USA? Fill in profile details and timeline these help answer questions.

If by K-Visa you may only need to do the vaccinations part of the form, NOT full medical, if medical for visa is less than a year old.

I-485 states you "MAY" include the I-693 with the I-485. If you dont, then USCIS will either RFE for it, or they will request that it is brought to the AOS interview.

It depends on the civil surgeon you go to. Maybe one could get you in next week and another would be booked up for a month. They may need a few days for the bloodwork to come back. Then it depends on how efficient the office is with filling in the form. Some may get right on it and another might toss it aside because they're busy.

Entered as B-2/B-1. Arrived Last Month. Any guess?
B-Visas dont have immigrations intent. B-Visas are visitors only. What was your intent when entering the USA?

Keep in mind the AOS interview will be critical of intent, if the interviewing officer determines that your intent when using the B-Visa was immigrations, they can deny the AOS.

K-1 visas are for this use, if USCIS determines that you used the B-visa to get around the processing og the K-1 they can deny and deport.

I know its a visitors visa. I have been visiting the US since 1993. Anyways, married last month when i was visiting and my wife, a USC and related to me, applied for an I-130. NOA1 received. I have to apply for the I-485, and need to know if it can be filed without the Medicals at this stage.
