I agree that we need a IMBRA forum. Finding actual information is very difficult at the moment. I've created temporary forums on my board many times in response to current "hot" topics. It's a great way to organize and keep information useful and relevant. Once the topic is no longer "new", I consolidate the information into a FAQ and move the posts to my archive.

As for the OP..... while this form has been posted before, I see nothing wrong with posting a new topic with the link in the first post. I'm sure it allowed several people to find it who hadn't seen it before. There's no way I could read every single post; I can't even keep up with the threads I get emails about - 283 emails yesterday.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Well as i mentioned before this site usally has a lot of good info. I finally decided to do my own research, should have been doing that as well as looking at this site. I will not put this post under the 900 comments of IMBRA so finally i can start a thread of facts. Here is the new proposed I129f

the new form mentions a lot of info about IMBRA

Thanks for the info. First time i have seen it

Thanks, first time I saw it too. Hey, people (not all), is there any need to be nasty just because something has been repeated?? So what ...........important things need to be repeated again and again.

Don't feel too bad, jpine.........the same thing happened to me when I first joined........... I happened to ask a question that I should have researched more because God forbid.... it had already been discussed on another forum...and I got hammered by somebody........they couldn't have been too important because I can't remember.....just some s*it disturber!!

So keep on repeating for those of us who appreciate it ...and for those who don't..............please keep your thoughts to yourself and get a life!!!!!.........{{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Joe,

Thanks for the post. I don't know if I saw it since I do not read every post.

What I found interesting about the form is in the upper right corner it has a good until date of 6/30/06 if I remember correctly.

That kinda tells me that this may be the end date for agencies and stakeholders to file comments.

The Feds put something out there for review and have a deadline for comments.

Then if there's no major flap, it's published.

This customary way of doing business would give those waiting some hope of actual forthcoming changes.

The form does seem to address IMBRA's intent.

I wanna think like that too.

Gary Bala wrote that USCIS asked for an emergency approval of the draft and it would be good to go for 180 days, while people can comment for the first 60 days.

Another thing I was thinking about is that even though the form expires on 06/30 they say they have 60 days to collect opinions.

Anyone familiar with how that work?

Hey thanks for posting it again.

Honestly I try and keep up with that other thread as well but it was moving to fast between my visits and I was getting confused! Which I might add is easily done!

I'll also say as I often do that I appreciate any information and advice that people offer.

Especially when people are kind and understanding.

I know that if feels like some people have to repeat themselves over and over here answering questions.

And you are right, if people take the time to look through a lot of previous threads, they may be able to find the information they are seeking.

But most of us want quick information, and this causes repetition. Yes we should slow down. But often we don't.

So again. I appreciate those who are patient and offer any kind of information they have! I know that for me even though I don't personally know you all it is so helpful to my soul that others are going through the same anxiety and stress that I am. :star:

I had not seen this form before either so I appreciated finding it here. Thank you for posting it. Perhaps it is better that we have something available more than once so that it reaches more people than not having it posted enough times:-).

Don't worry about duplication - it isn't a duplicate for everyone, and your intent was certainly good - and appreciated.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Whilst I have read this and it is posted in a very long thread elsewhere.....It is important that this draft take its place at the front of its own thread within the K-1 forum, as this IS the draft form that will and is relevant for all K visa petitions as per the IMBRA. Im not surprised that many would not of seen it already.......and being how it offers much insight into what is going to be required.....it should be on its own.

hello guys. Mike1972e posted this on the other message board. I just thought youd like to read on. Seems like we are all getting closer.

I am not sure if this was posted in this thread or not, and I am sorry if they already did, because I am not going to brows thru 60 pages. This actually gives me hope. It seems that they are requesting the approval of the new form by June 9, 2006. It also sounds like it might be done by e-file. Tell me what you think???

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/for...i-129f_83-i.pdf

Here is where I saw something about E-file. It is on page 2 #3.

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/for.../i-129fsupp.pdf

A fellow HCMC journey member provided me with these links, so all the thanks goes to him, his name is Tony. I just printed them out this morning and read them and when I saw the June 9th, and e-file, I got such great hope.

hope this helps to those who havent come across this post yet. :)

Just a thought. I realize that this form is in draft mode but perhaps it might be best to place the form under Example Forms with a comment beside it stating "DRAFT FORM, NOT FOR USE".

Just a thought, I welcome any gripes, concerns, ata boys, whatever life throws at me.

Thanks
