Not really.

FBI Fingerprint result is only valid for 15 months.

And USCIS will receive FBI Fingerprint result within 24~48 hours, so it will not delay much for your process by taking second fingerprint.

I just like to inform that i got my interview letter yesterday(12th dec) for 26th Jan after 23 (filed N-400 on Jan 2007) months of waiting. If you get a second fingerprint notice waiting long time, it is clearly a good news. So expect interview appointment within a month in such cases.

So be patience and your time will come.

It probably means you need to go and have fingerprints taken again.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

According to my lawyer, they are only good for 6 months. My wife had only 8 months between fingerprints and still had to do it twice.
