I have one last vaccination to get before my medical exam and that is the Hep B for my 8 year old. Problem though............apparently he needs to be given 3 doses. The second one being a month after the first and the third 6 months after the second. That isn't gonna happen between now and the medical exam on June 14/06. The nurse at the doctor's office said she would look into it and let me know. Anybody had a similar experience with their kids???? :(

My son was 11 and they said as long as he's had the first shot he was ok for the adjustment of status and the nurse at our office was happy and they signed off his vaccination supplement. I had this done at the local Brown County immunization clinic and it cost me 2 or $3

I confirm that my daughter only had to start the course it cost me £17 from my GP......very expensive compared to $3.

My son had the first 2 when we were home in the uk they were spaced a moth apart from eachother, the third one had to be done in april (6 months after the 2nd one) if you wait till you get to the usa the county health deaprtment do them for a minimal charge for all children of school age (well they do in NY but you should check with the state you are going to), my son and I were told that he had to have them all done or he wouldnt be able to stay in school (get a list of vaccination requirements for your school district as they only give you a month to sort it).

Almost done with it all

call the office where you're getting your medical for your interview...I believe not all the shots have to be given before it but you have to start it

Thanks everyone for your input!! I talked to the nurse today and she said yes as long as he has one dose of the Hep B that would be fine. He doesn't need to have all 3. I just need to get them done before he starts school :)

I'm also getting my Hep B shot, 'cus I never did as a child, and I'll only have 2 doses by the time I fly out, so I was hoping to hear that it's fine. Btw, as bad as public health is here, I can get the shots for free. :P
