WELL GUYS I JUST MADE THAT 8:30 AM PHONE CALL TO NVC AND TO MY SURPRISE THEY RELEASED FROM NVC JAIL AND THE PETITIONS HAS BEEN FORWARDED TO BOGOTA , COLOMBIA, JUST TO MAKE SURE I CALLED AGAIN AND YES CASE WAS FORWARDED ON APRIL 10TH TO COLOMBIA........

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONLY 37 DAYS AT NVC...................................

I called last night they said our case has been forward to Tokyo on 7th I havent call them about 1week because i hate to hear We have been in AP! And I also got packet today!!! I cant believe!! Im so happy!! We were in NVC for 42days.

Congrats Nikki, it's good to see that NVC is releasing petitions sooner than the average, lets hope it keeps this momentum going and many of us are out of NVC......now to get ready for the last part of the journey....

Ron [uSCANDUAL], I read your post and can imagine the difficulties and challenges that life has presented you and your loved ones.

You'll be in our prayers for relief, peace, joy and happiness to all of your family.

With sweet emotions, I would like to say that my call to NVC last night was the one we were anxiously waiting for!!!

I then called my fiancee and told her the good news, and spent a great deal of time planning our future and talking about our life together starting a family as we have been talking for many hours everyday since the first day that we met. (now that I recall ).

With respect I would like to express my gratitudes to all for your kind support and sharing,

especially Joe and Nadya, and Ron [uSCANDUAL] for sharing your fine programming skills with our AP family.

Let's all pray for quick relief for all who are anxiously waiting to be with thier loved ones.

I would like to say that although I'm not religious, it really helps to pray and meditate ( in any order ).

If i didnt find here i would have been panic alone long long time. We retained lawyer but she didnt help us much. Actually I needed to be brave to join VJ site because im not fluent english but you guys are all nice and kind. I really lucky found here I already done police report today , I hope my visa journey going quickly.

Congrats to everyone out of AP and happy continuation with your journey!

My SO called last week about the AP but also about the fact that NVC is planning to sent our case to the wrong consulate here in Canada (Vancouver unstead of Montreal). He was told to e-mail our request of having our file sent to Montreal and he did....I just hope that we won't be stuck in "double" AP because they will also have to realize and fix their mistake! LOL

I already contacted the consulate in Vancouver and they said that our case needs to go to Montreal and that if they receive it, they'll forward it directly to Montreal. We shall see. My SO is getting very frustrated with NVC as well which is not good cause he's the cool headed one in the couple! I try to give him all the info I read on here, but he doesn't wanna hear it. Guess I'm the one who will have to calm him down for once! Take care all and hope we all get released soon so we can go on our merry way!

Just on a side note who on here (non-USC) feels that, when we call NVC and they see that we are the beneficiaries, they treat us like they are doing us a favour by even speaking to us?? LOL The few times I called they made me feel like all I wanted was to enter the US and "abuse the system"....so frustrating. I just hate to be treated like nothing cause I'm trying to immigrate in thier country. Especially because I would've loved to stay in Canada and for us the raise our children here, but circumstances decided otherwise. Anyway, just wanted to vent out ONE of MANY frustrations with NVC!

Hi Jam How are you doing? I want to tell you that our case is in Kiev right now.. you can see that I have passed medical interview. All is ready. I sent email to our Embassy in Kiev and they replied me and sent me Packet 3 and 4 through email. And they said they have got our case and as soon as all documents will be gathered I can call to the call center.

Today I called there but I couldn't schedule. You will need this info. Embassy sends the list with new cases to the call center every Friday and the call center has an updating info only on Friday. Usually it takes 2-4 weeks to get your case to the call center. The operatos from call center can't schedule any interview for May because April is still wide open. And they said to call them again in 2 weeks. So, right now we are waiting, doing nothing

Hi all,

I have a question about the expiration for the NOA2 for the K-1 visa. I just recently noticed that the NOA2 is only valid for 4 months. I was wondering if that meant the interview needed to be over and the visa issued before the NOA2 expires?

The reason I ask in this thread is that we are in AP as well, and if it takes as long as it has for others, there will only be about 1.5 months of validity left by the time NVC sends it to the consulate, which is a smaller window than I am comfortable with.
