Hello.

I've been following this thread before we received our NOA 2 and just reading the day/weeks/month the case get stuck at NVC, it makes me anxious with the question "what if our case get stuck too at nvc?".

Now my worry turn to reality because we have been at nvc for more than 2 weeks now and I don't know when it gets out there :crying:

Did you guys call and find out if you are in AP? Im sorry youre hung up there, hopefully you will be out soon (F)

My fiance was told they make additional processing in our case. I just hope we get out soon of this nvc black hole. :hehe:

Sorry to hear you are stuck in AP. I know that it it not a good feeling but come here often for support from others who are also stuck at NVC (or were stuck before). I found that if you plan to be stuck for 7 weeks and you get out sooner, it will be a welcome surprise :):) But if you worry and wonder every day, it will make the time go very slooooowwwwly :(

Good luck on a speedy release

I regconized that we may have same day of packet 3 sent. Please let us know so that we can drink beer in HCM consulate

All right gang...

Here it is!!

Do you fondly remember Igor's List?

Wasn't that a useful tool to have when you were still at CSC or VSC and waiting for your NOA2?

Now that you've graduated from USCIS and have your shiny NOA2 in hand, wouldn't you like to have a similar list to tell you where you are on the NVC pecking order?

Well, I now present to you.... The all-new automated "Stuck in AP @ NVC" List.

Check it out, let me know what you think. Spread the word around....

http://apnvc.nxserve.net/vj.pl

This list gets rebuilt from VJ database everytime you reload the webpage. So it's not a static compilation like the old tables I had been publishing previously. Enjoy!!

Awesome tool, thanks for putting all that work into it. :) As cdneh said is it possible to put an earlier start date - say mid Nov so it catches the longer time lurkers in this thread also?

Congrats on the interview luck-e and Kookie hope it goes well for you.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Ok, I've changed it so it now pulls 1000 database records. This goes back far enough to get cdneh (me&him) and Helen&Charley. Check it out!

cdneh appears to have lost her crown. Francis & Detra were stuck for 55 days. There is also Ana&Joe at 97 days, but I don't think that can be right - probably incorrect data on their timeline.

I think the most reliable value for average time stuck in AP is the "average NVC duration for those over 30days". If someone is stuck 30 days or more, chances are it's an AP case. The average for these cases is running at around 45 days, pretty much what we've been saying all along.

Lisa - this is only K1 filings. I plan to extend it to K3s as well.

Here's my 'to-do' list:

1. Add K3s

2. Pull the data using a crontab once per hour, as Igors list does. That way I can pull much more data (say, 3000 or 5000 records) from VJ. I don't want to do that every time somone hits a browser reload. But I can do that hourly and cache the data, so each time you reload your browser you'll see current info quickly.

3. Do per-month stats. I.e. - how many AP cases in each month Mar09, Feb09, Jan09, etc. And compare the AP cases to non-AP cases, so we can see what ratio is in AP over time. That lets us see what shenanigans NVC is up to.

4. Provide stats per country and per service center (CSC/VSC)

If you guys can think of other features you'd like to see, let me know.

This shouldn't be too hard to add. The only problem is I can't do it now while I'm at work, and I'm already in the doghouse with my honey for spending last night till 2AM and ignoring her on Skype (she got mad enough, she even posted here about it!!). This weekend I'm traveling to Toronto for a wedding, so I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to come back to this.

This is awesome, thanks!

For those folks who are stuck for more than 50 days, what are the options? Can you request an info pass or call your congressman?

I call everyday but don't know if that helps, does calling reset the clock? What if you don't call, does the petitioners approved k1 expire after 4 months?

This is great tool,

I sent the following email as feedback hopefully to suggest some improvement(s):

Hello XXX,

Thanks for the great lookup table. If you don't mind I have a suggestion.

Some folks have forgotten to update thier timeline and it shows as if they are still waiting.

for example:

These couples have an interview date set already, so it must have left NVC, but they show as still waiting.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=52829

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=56247

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=60513

this guy got his NOA2 but has not returned to the VJ since:

Last Seen: 23rd December 2008 - 09:10 AM

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=58626

also,

I think it would be great to see a column describing the visa type, e.g. K1, K3 etc. unless they are all k1.

If you can filter those I think it would be a lot more accurate.

Again, thanks a bunch for the great job!
