Hello.

I've been following this thread before we received our NOA 2 and just reading the day/weeks/month the case get stuck at NVC, it makes me anxious with the question "what if our case get stuck too at nvc?".

Now my worry turn to reality because we have been at nvc for more than 2 weeks now and I don't know when it gets out there :crying:

Did you guys call and find out if you are in AP? Im sorry youre hung up there, hopefully you will be out soon (F)

My fiance was told they make additional processing in our case. I just hope we get out soon of this nvc black hole. :hehe:

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are stuck in AP. I know that it it not a good feeling but come here often for support from others who are also stuck at NVC (or were stuck before). I found that if you plan to be stuck for 7 weeks and you get out sooner, it will be a welcome surprise :):) But if you worry and wonder every day, it will make the time go very slooooowwwwly :(

Good luck on a speedy release

LUISH -

Some people are getting out sooner, at least according to their VJ timelines.

The last time I pulled the data was a few weeks ago, you can see it here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=2708167

There were lots of people getting approved in the range of 40-50 days, so you could get out before 50.

However the earliest recently was 38 days, so that's about the minimum I would say.

Good luck - I hope you can get out quickly!

As for us, we got an update today from the embassy. Not very encouraging :(

Dear xxxxxxxxxxx:

Thank you for your inquiry. As of March 24, 2009, the IV Unit has not yet received the above captioned case from NVC. In order to process the case, the IV Unit needs to have the case from NVC in both physical and electronic files. If NVC has already transferred the case to the Embassy, please allow some 4-6 weeks for the case to be completely transferred to us. Once we received the case in the system, we will be in touch with you by mail.

Regards,

Correspondence Unit

We got out of NVC March 13. Eleven days, and they still didn't get it?? Now after 7 weeks in NVC, they want us to wait another 4-6 weeks to get the file. I'm starting to feel like Luck-e & Kookie, abandoned at the embassy!!

Thanks for the info, and I'm sorry that you have to keep waiting for your petition to come thru, it's amazing to see that after waiting so much to get of NVC jail, your documents are still not there, but again this all we have to go thru to just be with our love one, this only makes a relationship stronger since we have to endure so much time apart, I know is easy to say it than done, but at the end both persons in the relationship will appreciate more and look back and see what you have to wait to finally be happy, as for me i"m hoping the average of 50 days does not stand and will follow advice to set my mind to wait that long, and maybe , maybe i'll get a nice surprise, especially since this the second time around for me, but believe me this time has definetely taken much longer and a lot more patient form me and my girl...

Thanks to everyone for being there and actually gives us comfort that we are not alone....

GOOD LUCK TO EVERY ONE

Rats. I'm apparently exceeding VJ's file attachment limit - it's not letting me post my tables as jpgs any longer.

So I'm reverting back to posting this as tabular data. The formatting is quite ragged, but I've given up working with this editor.

USCIS's approval and AP have pretty much nothing to do with one another. I mean, AP can happen at any stage of the process, so, if you're really unlucky, you can go through a series of them. What your lawyer told you was, unfortunately, incorrect. Most lawyers, also unfortunately, have no idea what they are doing when it comes to immigration processes (and if you ask me, they're mostly clueless otherwise, too).

Oh yes..I can agree with that. It's like the old joke...what do you call 1000 lawyers at the bottom of a lake?

A good start...

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
