I guess I need to join the group :(

Last week I was told I was in Administrative Processing ... tonight I was told I was in Additional Processing. From what I've read here (70 pages take a while :P) they are basically the same thing ... right?

I could not get an answer as to when the NVC received my file from California. My letter from the NVC saying we were approved (yeah, right :bonk:) is dated February 20th. So I would guess they had my file for close to a week by then ... right?

Anyway ... hello to everyone and best wishes to all

I have one question about letters from NVC. How many letters do you get from NVC during AP where it is written " your case will be sent within next week"? As for us, we got only 2. The last one was dated 23 Feb.. I have a medical interview soon and I will need one of this letter with KEV #... NVC won't change KEV # before sending to my Embassy, will it?

We got two as well, and both were dated after the AP started. They won't change the number, I didn't have the bit of paper with the AKL number on it, but still had the medical while in AP.

We got 4 identical letters. Each one mailed one day apart.

If you feel you need an extra letter by any reason, let me know - you can have one of mine :P

4 here too, all received over the span of a week i think?

I guess I need to join the group :(

Last week I was told I was in Administrative Processing ... tonight I was told I was in Additional Processing. From what I've read here (70 pages take a while :P) they are basically the same thing ... right?

I could not get an answer as to when the NVC received my file from California. My letter from the NVC saying we were approved (yeah, right :bonk:) is dated February 20th. So I would guess they had my file for close to a week by then ... right?

well YA, you need to join :D

sorry to see you here Steve, but you will find lots of support

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hi Steve,

Yeah, Administrative Processing = Additional Processing = Administrative Review

Different names for the same thing, namely, you got stuck here with the rest of us.

Next time you call NVC, ask them for the date that AP begin. They should be able to tell you that.

Anyway, welcome aboard. Hope you can get released soon. I can assure you it does end, it just feels sometimes like it never will.

hey uscan, thanks!! this is so great. i always stalk your timeframe because we have almost the same day when we were stucked @ NVC and luckily left NVC same as well. Im so happy that both of us are out already. You would not belive that i called 5 times today to confirm?? hahahaha. funny. i cant belive it thats why. Il track the tracking number you provided me. thanks again.

for the others, your time will come, just be patient. again its around 50-52 days for AP. Thank you for all the support!!

Guys, thanks for all the support. I will prepare the dcuments already that i will be needing for interview. I have a few case wiht my credit card company because i owe them money here and havent paid for a while so, they im afraid they might hold me if they will file case against me. though i have all the police clearance that I need. i just cant pay them because life here in manila is realy hard. i got layed off from work so that is the reason why i was not able to maintain paying my cards. But i wnt to fix my issue with this card but still dont know how. I;m sure embassy will be able to see pending cases if they will file one against me.

Hi Nadya! :D I sent you and Joe a PM ... don't know if you got it or not ...

I've straightened out my timeline ... though I'm guessing on the exact date of the approvals. I'm judging off the dates that our files got to the NVC ... I actually never got NOA2 letters from California  And according to the USCIS site, our case is still pending :hehe:

Thanks to everyone for their welcome and support. Seems like we have a lot of people here unfortunately. Reading your experiences has helped my spirit. If I figure correctly, we are about 4 weeks in ... which hopefully means we are at least 1/2 way through this. Our goal was to have an interview on April 20th ... and if we get out of AP within 3 weeks, we can still hit that date.

Good luck to all my new AP friends!

Call NVC tomorrow and they will tell you the date on which the case was received there. That way, you won't have to guess at when your sentence began. From that date, plan on at least 50 days and that will give you a real good idea when you will be out of AP.

Yes, Joe got the letter and he was going to write you yesterday, but he couldn't come on VJ.. It was an error. The same I had yesterday morning. if he wrote it's good, if not he will do it today then.. Well, about your timeline and USCIS is stil pending.. wow! About us, I checked the USCIS site and saw our approval, told about it to Joe, and in 15 minutes he got an email about approval. And our lawyer got original of approval letter from USCIS and Joe got a copy from USCIS. I read it somewhere that you will need it when Ksenia comes into USA. Maybe you should call to USCIS and figute out where is your NOA2 letter?

Steve, about interview on 20 April, I think you need to change date because here it will be great holiday, Easter ( 19 - 20 April ). I am sending you the site with holidays ;)

http://kiev.usembassy.gov/holidays_eng.html

Yes, you are 4 weeks in, like we are :) And more 3 weeks and we will get out :) And yesterday Joe wrote me that you were right about Administrative and Additional processing. I know it means the same, but we were said the same, First two weeks we were said Administrative and last two weeks they said about Addinional. He will call them on Monday and ask what is the difference between these words?:bonk:

have a good day there.

Nadya.
