Yes I noticed this. The problem is your time line data seems to be messed up. If you click your timeline

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=54673

you'll see the message -

Oops! Captain we have a problem. Some how there were multiple entries found, Please contact an admin to resolve this.

You should look into this, and perhaps ask for technical assistance from VJ admins.

Thank you for remind me, however, I did PM caintain Wrok but he might be busy to help

Ron - I think some of the longer dates have borked timelines also

For example if you do a manual search on california service centre and phillippines you find that Anna Lou and Kevin left the NVC on 2009-23-01 so they shouldn't be being picked up in your list at all. Maybe its updating in some places and not others? So you're getting false positives when you run your search?

You're right . That's really strange. Their NVC exit date is showing up now on the results page, but it wasn't when I ran the report 2 days ago. And yet - their last update is recorded as being on Feb 27. I'm not sure what to make of that.

I do agree that the longer dates are all suspicious. They are either due to people not updating timelines, or to IR1 filings that got 'mixed up' with K visas, or to some quirkiness in the VJ database and/or its reporting tools and/or my spreadsheet. By all accounts, AP@NVC cases for K visas are getting done in ~7 weeks, occasionally topping out over 50, more usually in the mid-40s.

I'm at day 42 today, so any day now, I hope ................................

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Hello

Hey we are stuck in AP as well :(:crying: We got the approval on December 29th. So is from this we count weeks? because our lawyer says it start from End of January. I dont know why...I am depressed, it got so closed... We had plans etc. NOW we are waiting i dont know for what. Does someone know if it can be denied or something like that? or how long does it take in AP? this is devastating me. I was waiting to be with my love in April, now we are walking in the dark with this.

Any information would be appreciated.

thing sadest is, you dont know anything, all that you hear is WAIT! if at least you knew that you are waiting something, but who knows...

Thank guys

Sorry that you have got stuck also.

It seems to be extra security checks - though no one has found out exactly why yet. Currently people seem to be waiting between 5 -8 weeks counting from the date they arrived at the NVC which is usually a couple of days after the NOA2

Join to us, the same we are.. and we planned too to be together in April, but even we didn't expcet it too, having a lawyer. How he said we should not be be in AP after approval from USCIS. But it's sad.. and we can do nothing with it, just wait.. it's sad..

how to count weeks? When NVC gets your letter then you start counting days or weeks.. And if NVC got your case in the end of January we are closer to it.. usually it takes 40-60 days.. read this thread from the beginning ;) I was advised to do it the same and I have less questions, just keeping chatting here :)

Welcome aboard. Can you please set up your timeline? It really is useful for everyone to do that.

If you got your NOA2 on Dec 29 it's really quite surprising that you're still in NVC AP!

Figuring that your case probably got to NVC in early January, that would be about 60 days. This seems much longer than the maximum we believe cases are being released from AP.

When is the last time you called them? At this point you should really call every day. Perhaps you've already been released, and your case is on its way to the consulate.

Don't worry about denial - our best understanding is that NVC can only delay the petition, it cannot deny it. So keep your spirits up - you WILL get on with the process and eventually get to your interview and your visa.

The wait is very frustrating, but now that you have found this thread you may find it a bit easier to bear. This is a very useful resource for those of us who got stuck.

Like you, when we got our NOA2 I started to make plans for my fiancee to be here by April. Passover will be on April 9 and my parents are flying here (from Canada to Chicago) to join me. I really wanted my honey to be here with me by that time. Unfortunately NVC had other plans. So, perhaps next year we can celebrate the holiday all together.

I would also suggest calling NVC and checking your case status. Many answers to your questions can be found in this very thread. Good luck!

Ron, thanks for doing some more data mining. We are at 47 days today, as your chart shows, and it is not a good feeling as 7 weeks draws near. The 80 and 90 day data is probably not valid but there are 12 that are more than cdneh's "record" of 53 days and less than 80. I do know that chi and cao got out last week from other posts that they have made, so that one is just a non-update.

I have a feeling that NVC has a rule that says after 7 weeks, they have to wrap it up and move it on...let's hope it is really true!

here you can see time how long your case is being in AP. Just chose your country and you will see how long NVC will delay your case in AP.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tempvisitors_wait.php

Joe&Nadya - I don't think that's right. The link you provide will give estimated wait times for visas in the specific consulate selected. That has nothing to do with the wait times at NVC in New Hampshire. On the contrary, previous analysis indicates that the NVC waiting time is not correlated to which consulate you are working through.

Todd - I think you're right, I do believe that NVC cases are being released consistently at the 7 week mark, give or take a few days. Most of the 'over' records are undoubtedly just folks who didn't update their VJ timelines (!@#$%@!#$ why won't ppl do that?? :bonk: )

Yesterday when I did this, I also pulled fresh data for cases that had both NVC In AND Out records - I wanted to post that too, but it was getting pretty late. I'll try to do it tonight when I get home from work.

I agree! The first thing I will do (after calling Hien!) is to update my timeline to show I am out of AP!! It is a momentous occasion, I think!!

Ok, as promised, here's the list of those who have been released from NVC in descending sort. I'm only looking here at cases that entered NVC after Dec 1. Hence, cdneh is not on the list since they entered NVC in November.

Also, I think we can ignore the first entry -- ash & rob at 70 days. Even though the database says they are K3, their profile page says they are IR1, so I don't think they are actually a K visa.

Well, that makes Yazied & Lisa our current 'winners'

What's nice to see is that cases do get released anywhere at all in the 40-50 day range. So take heart Todd, we're coming up literally any day now.

I did call NVC tonight - still stuck. But I think I'm going to start calling daily from this point.

Thanks, Ron. I am on day 48 today... I call them every night on my way home from work. My new routine which I would be happy to get away from.

I have been in contact with my Senators and Congresswoman. Two of them (staffers) called NVC this afternoon to ask about the status. I have not heard back from them yet. One of them told me that immigration is all she does for people and she has contacts personally at NVC and at the consulate in HCM...hoping that I do not have to use her for the consulate but good to know.

This woman also said that she recently had a tour of the NVC...which is why she said she ought to call there for me. Her description was, "...there were just thousands and thousands of files everywhere..." She told me that they cannot expedite cases at NVC but when they call the congressional support office at NVC, someone has to go find the file and look at it and many times that gets it moving again to finish it up. I will let you all know how that goes.

It looks like you got stuck just a couple days before us(our approval was dec 31st). We were "released" on the 26th. Hopefully you hear something very soon.

Is the lawyer calling to ask if you've been released? e never got any notification from them, I found out by calling.

Good Luck :)
