STUCK @ NVC for AP

I don't know how to track my case after leaving NVC.

This was the best explanation I got a while ago. I'm sure someone else will chime in and help, but if you'll still need help when I get up, I'll do my best to put it in my own words. Having spent about 6 hours running from hospital A to hospital B, then C, and then back to A... all I can do is sleep.

Good luck!

cdneh, Have a great flight to return home.

uscandual and luck-e and Kookie, stay strong, your time will come.

thanks congrats guys!. I received an email today. from a family friend that works in the immigration and she got an email from embassy saying that my case is still at the NVC and it will be there next week. I hope its right. at least i got them look for my case other than calling NVC everyday. Hey you guys, NVC is closed today? today is monday in the US right?

NVC is closed today. It is likely because of the weather we have had here today in New England. NVC is in Portsmouth, NH. Got a foot of snow.

The thread is nowhere even close to falling off, but I'll still bump it a bit!

All done with the medical. I don't need any additional vaccinations (yay Croatia!), my chest x-ray is all good. They drew my blood for HIV/syphilis test and it'll be done in 8 days. I really am confident I don't have it, so all is good. Overall, I am one very healthy cow.

Now I need to work more on gathering documents for the interview and, of course, studying for my remaining six exams.

Cool! :)

Lisa, how your case?

I don't know how to track my case after leaving NVC.

Well, if I tracked the right package through DHL...it arrived in Amman yesterday

Hopefully my husband will get the packet from the consulate toward the end of the week.

I will email Amman tomorrow to make sure they received it, and I need to change his mailing address with them anyway.

Here's what I did to track the package, with a little help from a friend

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...174094&st=0

Good Luck!

cdneh,

How exciting, I hope you had a safe trip and are resting well

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Well here's something depressing. I played around with the stats some more. This time, I looked for all cases that were received at NVC since Dec 1, and HAVE NOT yet left NVC. I weeded out those cases which already got a Packet 3, have Interview scheduled, or even have Visa granted since those just mean the applicant didn't bother to fill out the Left NVC column.

Still ----- that leaves a shocking number of cases that entered NVC and apparently have not yet left... some for 70,80 even 90 days. OK, so probably some of these are still just records that the member hasn't bothered to update since they recorded arrival at NVC. But it makes you wonder... could there be many cases routinely exceeding the ~50 day estimate of max time at NVC?

See attached table. Who ARE all these people? Shu&Cary 90 days? Evelyn&Alec 86 days? Yikes.

On this list, we (Thantita&Ron) are at 41 days. That means about another 10 days till we're released if the track record of recent posters here is right, but I'm getting worried that maybe it could be still much longer

those tables look very disheartening but I think those with the really long times just have not updated their timelines. I looked up the first 3. 2 of them haven't logged on to Vj since Dec/Jan time and the other has updated their timeline now and has their visa.

Your time will come soon I'm sure, its just hard to believe while you're still waiting

Ron, thanks for doing some more data mining. We are at 47 days today, as your chart shows, and it is not a good feeling as 7 weeks draws near. The 80 and 90 day data is probably not valid but there are 12 that are more than cdneh's "record" of 53 days and less than 80. I do know that chi and cao got out last week from other posts that they have made, so that one is just a non-update.

I have a feeling that NVC has a rule that says after 7 weeks, they have to wrap it up and move it on...let's hope it is really true!
