STUCK @ NVC for AP

Hi all,

I've been offline for the past week. I moved to my new house and won't have Internet service there until Saturday.

So I can only get online when I'm at work and usually don't have much time to surf VJ here

Anyway, just wanted to say 'congrats' to all those recently approved, and that I wish a speedy release to all those imminently awaiting their freedom.

I just called NVC now... we're still stuck. 34 days, so probably still have another 2 weeks to go.

how's the new house? thats a good thing to keep your mind occupied :D

The new house is great, and yes it's fun doing all the homeowner things in it, only one problem - my honey isn't living in it yet :crying::crying:

The house will only become a home once she arrives and I can carry her over the threshold.

I'm sure all of us waiting have the same feeling.

It was actually kind of fun house shopping together. We would check out the online MLS for all the houses we were interested in. Then I'd go see them with my realtor and take lots of digital pics to send her, and we'd discuss the pros & cons of various houses on skype. The Internet really changes life. Can you imagine pre-internet a situation where she is living in Bangkok and interactively participating in choosing her new home in Chicago? Kewl.

About medicals --- we did our medical, police report, etc. as soon as we got our NOA2 back in January. Of course, we didn't realize then we'd be stuck at NVC. But I'm not worried - I don't think these reports will be considered expired until the time we'll need them for interview. At least I hope not!!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
