"are we still in administrative processing?"

"uh, yes ma'am you are, but if you call back in a week or so and maybe we can tell you something different"

this is a new response!

hey guys, i called last night and i heard a different script. its something like.. "hi maam, it seems that we recieved your case from the USCIS last january 20 and we are currently processing it. we sent a notice to washington for further investigation on your case and as soon as we receive this, we will notify the petitioner and send it to the consulate. you will be contacted by manila consulate on how to schedule your interview but as of the moment, all we are waiting for is the response frm washington. that's it!" its the first time i heard that and i was hoping to hear something exiting at the last words of his sentence. their system was down yesterday morning tho but i tried calling every hour to check. hehe. dang!! how i wish im out of this NVC thang.

I mentioned Washington many pages ago in one of my posts. The NVC employee I talked to at the time had a bunch of problems with the English language, so I couldn't tell for sure what they were saying. It was something along the lines of this.

do you guys think it would be ok to have our medical done already like next week? medical here in PI sometimes takes like 2 months for some sputum test or something plus my kid has school so its better for her to be absent this monday and tuesday compared to the next following weeks. My NOA2 shows that it will expire may 2009 so i want to have everything ready by the time it gets here,

I dont want to do the medical when i learn that it is out of AP already then its when i find out that i have to do the sputum test on our medical and wait 2 more months. what do you guys think?

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. I don't think I could have gotten the medical done before getting out of AP. However, here in Croatia, the Embassy sends you Packets 3 and 4 at once, and those contain, amongst other things, all the information about the panel physicians and the medical itself. Besides that, pretty much no one seems to be applying for K visas, so they maybe process one or two a month, if that many at all. The medical should be done in a day, too, but we'll see.

If you can do it in advance, just go for it!

I just wonder how you count days, since NVC got your case or when you got notification letter? Should I count from 02/13 or 02/20?

If you know the date NVC received your case, then it's that what you use. Those letters mean nothing and are useless, since people seem to get them no matter what actually happens with their cases.

Thank you for explanations :) Well, our case arrived on 13 Feb..ok, almost two weeks at NVC.. And about the letter, I will need it because when I called to make an appointment for medical exam I was said to bring a paper where they can see my full name with case # ( KEV - ************* ) I thought it is enough to tell them only case # but it wasn't.

The number you have on your NVC letter (KEV***********) is the right one, so you can use that, for sure. I don't even know what I will use myself. Or if I have to. All I remember from the instruction sheet (yeah.. too lazy to get up and go check  ) is that I need my passport and three passport photos with me. What for.. I have no idea. They seem to be collecting so many, all over the place, that I am starting to suspect some weird voyeurism, or.. something. >_>

You should make a calling to the hospital and ask them in details. We have a child, but he is an American citizen. So, I called to the hospital and asked question about child. Our son doesn't have to pass it.

it's my list for medical interview.

• Passport or other photo-bearing document as ID (both for children and adults)

• 3 full frontal view photographs 50 x 50 mm

• Military service card

• Vaccination chart with the seal of the issuing clinic (mandatory for immigrants, optional for K visa applicants)

• Embassy case number beginning with KEV

Congratulations :dance::dance: and we have just got into the "jail" :bonk:
