woohoo! congrats!!! good luck on the interview :D

Thanks for the good wishes.

However, my fiance just received an email from NVC (a response to his inquiry sent.. maybe a week ago). The awesome news say: still in AP, losers.

:( it will come soon, at least we have a pattern to look to 6-8 weeks

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

How often should one contact NVC/USEM/whatever?

In these 7 weeks (I think we're breaking the 7 week mark.. today, or something like that), I've called NVC four times (five at the most) and we've sent two emails to NVC and one to the Embassy in Zagreb. I kind of want to call them at least ten thousand times a day, but my fiance thinks we'll just end up annoying someone and it will be even worse. I sort of almost agree with that one.

Today we're hitting our 7th week mark, unless the math I just did was wrong.

cdneh, we might steal your queen-of-AP status. We're getting that close.

I go play with dhl now. Maybe they have some news for me, about petitions that are not ours, of course.

I hope you're right, Marmite!

I doubt I'll be calling today, since my fiance really hates the idea, but.. you never know. Maybe I'll talk him into it.

I'm going nuts.

Gosh...you guys are patient! The last two weeks we were there we called them every day. They didn't seem to mind at all, the worst was just hearing the same thing over and over.

But..as close as you are, I'd ring them. If we had waited for the letter it would have been another ten days of worry...we knew we were in Auckland before the letter that said we were sent arrived Stateside.

Today we're hitting our 7th week mark, unless the math I just did was wrong.

Awww...that's a title I'd never wish on anyone. (F)

A case was sent to Zagreb about an hour ago.

I called.

Of course it wasn't ours.

The lady on the phone was basically a machine, repeating the one and only sentence about additional processing. She wouldn't even answer my question when I asked if there was someone else I could, maybe, talk to about this.

So, yup. 7 weeks and counting.

I'd be asking, as we did, to speak to a supervisor. My SO kept repeating the following..'you are unable to answer my questions ..please escalate my call to a suspervisor." After he did that twice in a row she did.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Sorry to hear that Badgerella!!!! But hang in there......you are one day closer to being out of that place!!! Any day now, you will be released....this has got to be your week!!! The next time you call, ask for a supervisor....I didn't ask but the girl offered to talk to one for us and apparently that afternoon our case was processed.

Thanks to everyone for the "Congrats" for us. Also, my fiance asked me to thank everyone that has posted their experiences from NVC because he said it gave him hope and encouragement. This was definitely the hardest part when we thought we would only be there between 2 and 4 days. Everyday when we talked on the phone, I would read him any new posts on this thread......definitely a life saver!!!!!
