Congratulations cdneh

For me its reassuring to have it confirmed that we are just the victims of the random number generator in being assigned to the NVC black hole.

Good luck to all who are still waiting, hope cases are winging their way to embassies in droves this week.

Thanks for that! Surely to goodness it must be time for them to move quite a lot of people on

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

So they really said it was random, cdneh?

I hope ours is, as well. The only reason that comes to mind (for us to be kept in there, in the first place) are my four denied visitor visas in only 10 months... If they even case about that kind of thing, that is.

I had had an interview last time I enetered the US to visit because I had visited too often that year - I had wondered if that was the reason but had seen lots of folks have the same thing or get sent back even who hadn't ended up in the black hole of the NVC. It also hasn't effected our processing so far at the embassy (once it eventually got there that is).

Now if only mother nature would stop being so wicked an disrupting London with snow I might get an interview date /sigh

I do hope you get good news soon Badgerella

cdneh, I hope your interview went well!

It went very well..no problem at all!:dance:

While going through our petition the Interviewer said...."Oh..I see you were stuck at NVC for some time...in RANDOM checks'. Random. She had paperwork about half an inch thick she was looking at..with a row of boxes all down one side, and little odd looking symbols in each them.

So..it seems it is random. And in the long run we did get our Visa. So if you're stuck at NVC and worried about those extra checks resulting in a denial, don't be.

Congratulations to you, cdneh

One question, for everyone.

What date are you all using for your NVC Received filed in your timelines?

What we have there, is the date our first letter from NVC was dated (18th December).

We used the actual date. There were a lot of people about the time we got the NOA2 who had the same problem we did, in that the website never updated for us, and the NOA2 notice was just turning up in letterboxes.. It still shows pending...

So..we started to ring Vermont, and on the 18th they said they'd sent it to NVC. We gave it two days, the usual from Vermont and rang NVC and were told it had arrived on the 19th.

The first letter wasn't dated until the 24th November, so 5 days after they actually had it. We had already been yanked out of the queue on the 21st. That they didn't mention.

cdneh, I hope your interview went well!

It went very well..no problem at all!:dance:
