cdneh,

Please let us know what you find out from DOS today, I am really hoping you finally get good news...

Keep your chin up, it's gonna be ok  Have Faith

We didn't find out a thing. The DoS person couldn't give him any more info than what he gets from NVC. Which is nothing.

She wanted to forward him to NVC saying they had the case, and they would be the ones to know.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I think they ought to say as well. It's maddening :girlwerewolf2xn:

I emailed them today.... I figured by the time they respond which is usually 10 days that they will reply with some good news....

Here's hoping!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Our case is still at NVC, since Nov. 20 at that. My fiance has already called NVC 3 times, and has also sent an email inquiry 4 days ago, but yet there's nothing to be happy about.

I suspect that what might have triggered further investigation is the fact that my fiance is my older sister's widower. Another possible cause could be our ages - I'm 50 and my fiance is 62 and we are both of Filipino ancestry.

We're 55 and 57..and we wondered if that was the issue. There's more to check into the longer you are on the planet..

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

There is nothing you can do other than try to patient and wait.

At first we called everyday, we call every other day now.

True. But still...

Well, if you find a way please let me know. As far as I'm aware, there is nothing.

Hang on in there

plhlover confirmed that they were mistaken. I guess it did not arrive in manila yet or even left NVC....

It's hard to believe that age would have anything to do with being on AP, what could they possibly have against that or why would they care.

we havent called since we found out we were on AP, I did send an email yesteday which takes about 10 days for them to answer, so I am hoping by the time they answer, they will come back with some good news...fingers crossed. We mentally had to tell ourselves to just give it till the end of the month, it kind a makes the waiting process easier.

I wish I could offer words of encouragment ....just know that it will come. :)

It's frustrating not knowing...we still don't and I doubt we ever willl.... but, I doubt it's age. ;)

In regards to the PI post that confused you... the process is much different in Manilla. You do not receive packets and you need to take the initiative to contact the Embassy yourself. There are also several more steps. There is a great Philippine K-1 Guide in the Regional forum for those going through Manilla.
