STUCK @ NVC for AP

Update:

6 weeks, 1 day.

Called NVC.

This agent, finally, heard RIGHT (or understood?) that I was the beneficiary, and therefore she had me verify MY phone number, instead of my fiance's.

Today we're undergoing some ADDITIONAL processing. (Hey - new information!!)

Timeframe is unknown, but the agent said it should be done soon. (O...kay. *nod*)

I asked her to clarify the mention of Washington in some of the previous conversations with some other agent, that made no sense to me. She pretty much said there was no Washington and that I must have misunderstood.

We will, of course, be notified when our case gets forwarded to the Embassy.

Of course there is no timeframe. But it should be done soon.

Now we know we're still - nowhere.

Sorry you didn't get better news

Yes...Its so easy just to say im waiting...but gosh, actual waiting is really hard. But after 40 days stucked at NVC, they replied to my email about asking my case status. I sent email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov and 10 days after, they informed me that my papers are totally sent here in Manila last Dec. 27. Im so happy bcoz im now on the next higher level of this journey...getting nearer to the most awaited part...interview time and receiving VISA. Its only a matter of silent prayer. Thanks GOD!

This should work...

www.dhl.com

choose USA from the list of countries...(where the package comes from)

in the top box where it says reference put the day before NVC says it was sent : as an example

" EXP 27 2009A"

in both of the next boxes put the same date from the drop down list

hit the little red Trace button

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

This one is going to Romania..you can track by that number. It won't be identified as yours per se...but I think that's at least where you are waiting for one to go to?

I know how you feel...it's a miserable thing to get the NOA2 and think you're on the way, and then get pulled up short at NVC.

Keep an eye on this thread, you will have plenty of company while you wait, and can see how it goes for the others around the same time frame. It's good to know you aren't alone (F)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

We couldn't get an answer to that question either. It's like being trapped in a voice-mail machine gone mad...'all I can tell you Sir is that your case is in AP.." My poor SO got soooo tired of that response...

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
