Case received 03/29. 10 days as of today. :( Hope they send it soon,

09/13/10 - i129f sent to Texas

09/15/10 - received and signed

09/20/10 - Touched

09/23/10 - NOA1 via mail dated 09/15

10/03/10 - Touched

03/24/11 - NOA2!!! email/text on 03/29 (after 190 days)

03/29/11 - NVC received

03/31/11 - NOA2 hardcopy in mail

04/05/11 - MOS # assigned

04/12/11 - NVC left

04/15/11 - Consulate received

06/02/11 - Medical

06/03/11 - Interview (after 261 days) Approved !

06/09/11 - Visa in hand

06/10/11 - POE @ JFK

08/19/11 - Married <3 <3 <3

09/01/11 - AOS sent

09/06/11 - NOA1 for AOS packet

10/03/11 - Biometrics

We're stuck there as well. They received our case 19th September. Sent out 2 letters, on the 24th and 26th November stating it would be forwarded in a week. Told after speaking with a supervisor

ok so it was exactly 2 weeks as of today.

operator said package left nvc. on to next stage !

still at NVC, been there since 3/28 while they changed the embassy

hoping now that it is changed, i hope they send it this week

told today we were in AP

hope they ll send it soon ! :thumbs: ours was received on 03/29 and left only today :wacko:

I have just been told today we are in AP as well. I keep seeing the term AOS in terms of NVC, Can you tell me what that is? Also we have never even recieved letter of notice of being on hold. My petition has been there since 04/11/11 and now held, they say sometimes it takes a couple of weeks the first time I called,,,now Im told Im in AP. Did you get a letter? If so, did they tell you why they placed you there? Do they just ask for additional info?

We've been at NVC since Nov 18, we just found out yesterday we are in AP or administrative processing (backround check). <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Is anyone alse in this situation, maybe we can keep track together.

AP seems to be a term they tell everyone until it is sent to the embassy but it can take a while depending on the case (im still there) AOS stands for Adjustment of Status and it occurs after you and your fiance get married in the states, you file to adjust their status to a permanent resident with conditions. then after that you will apply to get those conditions removed (check out this link for AOS http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/AOS)

since you are doing the K1 they dont ask us for additional info (so then im not really sure why they hold us in AP) we dont have to send them anything - just keep contacting them and eventually it will get sent off

we were in AP for a couple of weeks (or at least we thought we were)

it will end

i dont know how you did it....im flipping only 9 days in.... :wacko:

believe me, I was not calm

i called everyday sometimes multiple times

i would say, stay on it and if it gets too long ask to be transfered to a supervisor

we were told we were in AP and then it turns out after i got pissed off and got transfered, we were not in AP, our case was in the wrong filing room

so give it another week or so and then bother them until u get answers
