We're stuck there as well. They received our case 19th September. Sent out 2 letters, on the 24th and 26th November stating it would be forwarded in a week. Told after speaking with a supervisor

From what I've learned from other people here on VJ, it is quite the norm for NVC to do additional backround checks on the petitioner/beneficiary, in most cases the petitioner. It's very frustrating a

Wow,,, just call nvc and was told my packet is on the way to the embassy... thanks to my friends here who has been great source of encouragement...thumb up.

Is additional processing the AP you guys are talking about in this forum? because they told me I was under additional processing not admin Review

Depending on the office saying AP they can often be interchangeable... AP usually means they have something they need to do before they are done with the case.. AR usually means they need someone higher up to review the case to sign off on it... they both mean it will take some time before they decide or are finished with the case...

case is still sitting at the NVC I was so happy when I got approved at USCIS level or CSC now I am bummed again I dont know what is going on? Can NVC send k-1 RFEs out at the NVC? :crying:

Have a nice day..i am just checking about our papers, my fiancee keep on having follow up our papers and still nothing could tell the feedback on it, we forwarded it last march 2010 for the second time around but until now we never heard on it...they just keep on telling that on process, but its already 3mos old now, mostly the member on this site advise me just to try to check to the nvc if it stuck here..i hope i can have an answer from the nvc staff..godbless and more power to ur services...

I pray so it is just hard to see other people who got approved the same day as me or after me and there paperwork has already been sent to there interviewing countries and mine is still sitting at the NVC I pray that it is sent this week...... :blush:

Usually happens for USC's that are divorced or for a few other reasons.. its just NVC doing some additional checks to be sure there are no problems before it is sent to the consulate... could be a few days or up to a month.. have not had any over a month for a while now...

My case has been at NVC since June 14. Should I be worried about AR or AP or FBI checks?! The majority of cases listed on the K1 visa timeline go through NVC in a matter of days, I thought mine was already on its way to the consulate until I called them this morning and found out that it's still at NVC.
