they have been doing it at the consulate for some time.. now I guess they are trying to get it out of the way at NVC when they can so its more streamlined at the consulate.. If anyone that got AP in NVC gets AP again.. please let the rest of us know...

omg...my friend bev was at my house today and i was gone...they called again and asked for my ex....and we are still in ap as of today.....grrrrr...lol...im ready to be out already.....

Wow.. they didnt take the first response as the truth and called again... they usually call someone else rather than the petitioner a second time.. at least that has been the case with the same type of calls when folks are in AP at the consulate... always be nice and tell them whatever they want... dont need any notes in the file saying you were evasive or defensive...

We're stuck there as well. They received our case 19th September. Sent out 2 letters, on the 24th and 26th November stating it would be forwarded in a week. Told after speaking with a supervisor

You should definately check your consulates website.. We only had to download the forms and instructions.

I am under the impression that the sudden increase of cases in AP was a result of the end of Fiscal and a way to look like they were doing something (on paper).... There are far fewer AP's being reported now after we are into the new year...

It may not really be AP... if you call on Tuesday they may say it has been sent out at that point... keep hope that you dont get stuck in AP for a month like many of us did...

When I asked the guy on the phone if it was sent to manila, he said...it looks like yours is going through some additional processing and to call back next week. I have been reading this thread and I am hoping mine isn't stuck there for a month. This process is so stressful.

The fact that they said call back in a week is a good sign.. it should be on the way to PI next week...

It sure is. We were stuck there last year for quite a while.

Call back next week, and if they tell you it is still in AP keep calling. Towards the end of the time we were there we called every day.

Well I called today and were still stuck in AP :angry: Whats really interesting is that I got a call at 7:30AM that hung up after a few rings, I am positive it was a number from NVC. Maybe there seeing if my cell number is real. You would think if they wanted to get a hold of me they would wait until I answer or leave a message.
