I have settled on twice a week as my calling frequency to the NVC. I just can't take disappointment like that every day. Of course, if they would actually send e-mail notification when they complete their review process and when they send the packet off to the embassy, they would not have to answer so many phone calls. Too logical?

05/04/09 -- K1 visa, NOA-1

09/18/09 -- K1, NOA-2

01/26/09 -- Interview passed in Moscow

03/02/10 -- POE, JFK airport

05/23/10 -- Wedding!

11/16/10 -- 2-year green card approved

04/01/13 -- 10-year green card approved

11/23/13 -- N-400 mailed

I loved weekend before, and I hated it now. Still depressed. Just praying we all gonna be out of AP soon. dhc, you are the one I'm look up on now, lol, cuz I'm three days behind yours. When yours get out of AP, there at least I can have a hope toward mine.

Same here it sucks to wish that the weekend would be over so that the NVC would open and they can work on our case but I will wish for it until this is done.

Well hopefully this week is our lucky week and next weekend doesn't feel like forever, heck you may get out of AP before I do...although I hope we both and everyone in here get out soon.

Good morning all.

Boghy, looks like today is day 40 for you. Really this week should be your week. Based on what happened this past Friday, I think they push to have alot of these done by Fridays. If this Friday comes and goes without your being released, you need to get on the horn to your Congressman. I can't say for certain it helped me, but it was definitely registered in their system as being received on Monday Sep 28th...and then I was out on Friday. But really I hope today or tomorrow is it for you.

dhc and Waiting4him...you both are close, hopefully this week is yours too...I am hoping for good news soon 4 both of you

Steve S...what is your NVC receive date?

Czazymazy...my son LOVES your avatar!

To anybody else I may have missed....hopes and prayers for all of you to exit this ####### soon.

Not only that, but there are some here who might not want to pay for a long distance call every day. Fortunately for me, we have outgoing watts at work, so I could call free. Anyway, if the cost is a consideration, I would call only on Friday afternoons. Good luck to all!

Interview ... WAIVED? Never heard of this, but they didn't even interview him, just told him pick up his visa the next day.

Current Status: Interview ... waived ... I guess :) They just took his fingerprints and documents and told him everything was in order and he should pick up his visa tomorrow! WOW

I can't believe it's only been 7 months since we filed ... seems like an eternity!

If they are actually doing something, checking names, etc. (which I thought was what was supposed to have taken place during the almost six months we were at VSC) then great, but they should communicate this and provide a time frame and then the whole process wouldn't be neary as frustrating. But I highly doubt there is anything organized taking place. As someone said on here--just imagine if we let the government get control of the health-care industry!!!

Lost at Bureaucra-Sea.

EXACTLY!

I personally don't buy into the whole "AP at NVC is additional background checks" theory. First because why would it only be on K visas? And then why random? If it is so important that you have to do ADDITIONAL checks at NVC, then shouldnt it be all of the K visas? And why would issues not be caught at USCIS..after all THEY are a part of Homelanf Security. Sure would look bad for NVC to find something that USCIS couldn't. i dunno...and I guess noone will ever know the truth about AP. But we do know one thing....IT BLOWS

I just called still in AP but I got a different answer from the operator, I wanted to speak with the supervisor but will hold off until this afternoon.

She said, I know this is frustrating but I don't see this staying here more that 30 days, and told me to call back on Friday.

So I asked if she saw something on the screen to indicate that it was this Friday, but she said no...I may be reading into this too much but am hoping she's right.

Maverick, thank you for your good wish. I just went to my congressman's office today and fill out the release info. paper. Hopefully it will get there soon and will be somehow useful. Man~ couldn't even stop crying throughout my "story telling". Gets so depressed whenever think about it or talk about it. Just hope that it will come to an end soon~ And I did call NVC today. The operator told me that K1 usually takes about 30 days for AP. So hopefully all of us who are stuck in the AP will get out of it by day 30th, or even early. Keep my finger crossed :innocent:

Out of AP, Thank you Congressman Chris Murphy. I called NVC at 8:00AM this morning, still in AP. Sarah from Congressmens office calls me at 11:00AM (I faxed them last Wednesday) and says we are on way to Consulate.

20 Days at NVC

When I faxed Congressman Murphy's office I really didnt expect anything, but Sarah from that office was all over it apparently and kick started NVC.

Here we come Guangzhou
