Well I would disagree - flood NVC with calls ..lol

And you guys call - ask for supervisor - have them do inquiry - and try to find out a bit more.

I found out though this whole process - one major thing - the people answering the phones are like robots - they may not even be aware they work where they work

Maverick - call the dept of state - they will tell you if you are cleared - anyone over 10 days - call the dept of state - they will tell you exactly what is going on - they are the dept that does all the checks for the NVC and the people are really nice there.

@boghy about "b" - I might agree w you - BUT the dept of state said I was cleared on Sept 03, 2009 - so is why I suggested the backlog ??

could also mean - operator "b" or Bob or BS - Been in He** - Been threw it

hmmmmmm I just checked the DHL shipments and see one that was picked up yesterday at 4PM heading for Panama City , Panama. I have heard that they often don't update their database until the file is already on it's way. I have been checking the DHL shipments out of NVC for two weeks now and this is the first I have seen to Panama. Not getting my hopes up too much, but I will call later this morning and see.

How do you guys check these shipments? Is there a link to find out?

for reference type in : CORRESPONDENCE

For ship from and to dates you have to play with it, today I used the from date as Sept. 29th and the to date as today Sept 30

for origin postal zone: 03801

you also can put in the reference of EXP 29 SEP 2009A or apparently also 2009B...these can give other results.

go to DHL website, tracking by reference, and put in "EXP SEP 30 2009A" but you play with the date a little, then just scroll and look for your consulate ... but don't be fooled like I was and assume if there is one going to your consulate it must be yours.

go to DHL website, tracking by reference, and put in "EXP SEP 30 2009A" but you play with the date a little, then just scroll and look for your consulate ... but don't be fooled like I was and assume if there is one going to your consulate it must be yours.

As i found out today, can be "EXP SEP 30 2009A" or "EXP SEP 30 2009B" shocking even "EXP SEP 30 2009C"

My suggestion query them all and get a better clue based on the weight of your package and country plus city of your belonging consular section.

EXAMPLE:

1 - you already know that your case has around 3lbs in papers from what you sent

2 - you already know that you belong to let's say London UK

3 - you already got the confirmation from NVC that your case has been shipped today or yesterday

P.S. you shouldn't even bother tracking packages older then 3 working days since usually are already arrived to they destination which is your consular section of your beneficiary... unless they didn't got the package yet an NVC claims that has been shipped already.

Question. I sent them a e-mail yesterday( in AP since Sept. 3) and they did send me a response ( a standard one says nothing really other than they will let me know. But it list's my noa1 date as a priority date. Just wondering does this mean anything like determining what order to do peoples paperwork?

Well, the person I spoke with was very nice and sympathetic about my situation. He told me that all he can see on the computer is that my petition is still at NVC in processing. He also told me that he can see on it also that there was an inquiry by my Congresswoman. I told him that I had contacted her twice about this and even faxed a letter to the Assistant Secretary of State For Consular Affairs. He told me "you are doing all the things that can be done". I think I have never felt as low as I have been feeling the past week, I am in a very very dark depression. I feel this is MUCH worse that the wait for USCIS to approve. Really dont know how much longer I can tolerate this.

Thanks for the support...I know I am not the only one dealing with this, but I have now lost 2 & 1/2 months since the approval. Dont understand why I am being jerked around for no reason

I'm not sure, but looking at yours it got shipped in the morning, and was a B. I was thinking on that, but it throw off the morning hours thinking that should be A instead. I really don't know yet.
