Day 17, still in AP. Was feeling ornery when I called so I asked to speak to a supervisor. Didn't have any additional info, but offered to send a note to "the unit that has your case" (she didn't tell me which unit that is) asking them to see if they can speed it up or at least give us some idea how much longer it's going to take. She gave me her name and told me to call back Monday or Tuesday and ask for her.

This is a supervisor, Lila, I talked to her yesterday , she told me my K3 is out of AP, but the operators keep saying its still in AP.

Im suppose to call her back Friday 09/18/09 I also talked to her about my CR1, she said she was moving it to the final reveiw desk. I still want to know, WHY do they want us to call them back??? ,do you think that is strange???

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

It's the first time it's happened to me. I don't know, perhaps it's to keep me from calling three times a day to see if we're out of AP yet.

I'm going to keep calling.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Well Im calling in a bit, I emailed them earlier, and the response I got from them is useless. From the way it sounded, its like they are looking for the DS-3032 for the K3. They dont have DS-3032 for K visas.

And its not for the CR-1 I already paid all the fees, and received the email from them of receipt of the DS-3032 form, UGH!!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

I called today at 9:30pm. Remained calm and collected. Some guy Caleb answered. I asked for additional info and he transferred me to a Supervisor named Sophia (probably his coworker in the next cube).

I asked "Why am I in AP, was it a random pick?" She says she dose not know.

Then I ask if they have my petition there in NVC, she says yes they do.

I then asked if she has any additional information on the case that she could tell me. She just gives me the pat answer.

This is worse that waiting five months at the Vermont Center! Why? Because i see all these petitions fly out of NVC like a hot potatos while others sit and ferment in some desk drawer for some mysterious reason.

Day 26 for me in AP....I decided I am NOT waiting for the 30 day point to "hope" I come out. I contacted my Congresswoman's office yesterday and they told me she called NVC to do an inquiry into my case today. Let's see what happens.

I managed to get the fax number for the Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs (one step below Hillary, in charge of all visa issues and NVC) and faxed her a letter begging her to help get us out of NVC and on to Seoul. We'll see if that goes anywhere.

I just wrote a letter to my congressman, let's see what happens. I just hate to think the applications are sitting there for no good reason whatsoever. When I see applications fly out of there in 2-4 days from other people's timeline it bothers me that we have to go through another long wait.

They told me at interview that it was random. I can't say whether that is true or not. No one we rang or faxed was able to move us along at all.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I called yesterday morning and was told by NVC we were still in AP and did not hear from the Romanian Embassy either :(

So we are going on week 4 and think this friday is close to our 30 day mark so here is hoping something breaks

I also got home last night and checked my mail - I had letter from my congressman - When I sent my fax in to his office - I went into great detail outlining where we were stuck at - what processes we had been though - our timeline - etc - was whole page. So I get this letter and it has highlighted that I need to call USCIS and schedule infopass and we are just barely out of their processing times :$

They did not even read my fax - I called and asked for the intern that handles this part of his office here and of course went straight to voice mail but left her a pretty hefty voice mail. Then after I hung up - decided to call back and talk and told story to the guy who answered the phone so maybe get someone else involved

You know I am really getting tired of seeing the waste of tax dollars here - in one way when I started this process I had no clue the immigration laws had changed so much since 911. I have earned great respect in many ways for the people who work these jobs as is a great responsibility to handle this. And I know they are just like us - underpaid, understaffed joe blows working for a living.

But at same time feel could be more like a McDonald's or something - where when you go though the drive thru for the 40th time and still do not get your ordr right - you can go inside and demand to see the manager !! :P

:))
