STUCK @ NVC for AP

Did you phone the consulate to make a appointment? Thats awesome if you did! Our plan is to wait till London gets our package officially, then we phone and book the medical, which is valid for 1 year, we have our case# for them, and then we will send in package 3 when they send us the "letter", i am tempted to just send the stuff since we know if the consulate has our info. I donno. So now my lovely man has to get on the ball and get this stuff going....oh what a naggy wife I'll be but I dont care...lol! I have it all planned out for him and so he just has to fill the stuff out and go do the medical....

Uhh, it's been busy here since my last post. I hope there are not too many people stuck, or that, at least, they're getting out a lot faster than we did back in the day.

We got married on Aug 28th and I think one of these days we'll be starting to work on the AOS. More paperwork, meh! Everything else has been fin've been nicely adjusting to life in the US, even though it seems really different than what I'm used to. My family left 10-ish days ago.

Just talked to a supervisor at NVC, our K3 is out of AP. Supervisor told me to call back Friday, and she will update me if its been sent to Paris or not, but its definently over with AP.

I phoned the US Embassy in Manila once the Dept. of State confirmed that it was with them.

So found out why NVC sent out petition back to USCIS...uscis filing error. they didn't send eveyrthing proper to NVC...grrrr.

so we called spoke to a lvl 2 immigration officer ( btw you have to specifically ask for that..they will not offer to transfer you ), they told us NVC has not authority to send back petitions or take away an NOA2. USCIS received it on september 10th, and yes it was sitting on a shelf doing nothing til now! GRRRRRR.

Because it is a USCIS error they will now expedite it and fix the filing issue and send it back to NVC, however they do not have a time frame.

Good news is that the approval is still valid, bad news, it's been over a month, so we only have just a little under 3 months left.

Here's to hoping when it gets back to NVC we dont get stuck in processing again, cuz this march filer is fed up with this process!

Well I may have good news also - I am beginning to wonder about NVC - I called again this morning and got the same right ? So this time asked to speak to supervisor because as stated back on Sept 3rd - I had been told by DOS - they we were cleared and good to go - just waiting on embassy to take our case. So the lady at NVC who had answered the phone said do not worry is just normal process and everyone goes though this. So I said I know but a lot just fly though in one day - she said do not worry is just due process. So got off phone. So got to thinking and called DOS again. This time got another really nice person like the 1st time I called ( not like 2nd time lol)

She ( her name is Jessica ) again stated we are cleared and ready to go to embassy - and just waiting for embassy to be able to take our case. SO this time asked few more questions - like does embassy have quota ? Can they only do so many a month ? Did they get slammed ? Why are we having to wait so long ?

So she said she did not know.

SO I had already emailed embassy when we received our NOA2 ( took the lead from fellow Romanian lover Victor who is also in same time frame as mine who had already done this ) about package 3.

So I emailed them again telling them the story about being stuck at NVC awaiting word from them ( the embassy ) to be forwarded to the embassy to see if THEY could give me estimate on time frame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we will see what they say - I gave them my NVC number and acted like was just doing what the DOS suggested I do and we are finished with package 3 forms - should we put NVC number on all of them before we mail in since they are now the hold up ????

So we will see what they say - sometime I start to think we are all victims of politics in this

Day 17, still in AP. Was feeling ornery when I called so I asked to speak to a supervisor. Didn't have any additional info, but offered to send a note to "the unit that has your case" (she didn't tell me which unit that is) asking them to see if they can speed it up or at least give us some idea how much longer it's going to take. She gave me her name (Leila) and told me to call back Monday or Tuesday and ask for her.
