I wondering how my fiancee would renew his passport once he is living in the United States.

Does he just take it to the nearest Haitian Embassy/Consulate here?

If so how long does it take?

Each nation handles renewals differently. Some allow renewal by mail to the Embassy. Check the Haitian Embassy's website.

Yes, she just has to go to the closest consulate/embassy. Maybe calling first would be better. A friend of mine renewed hers here in Montreal and it took only a few days.
