If this turns out to be true (which I really hope it is), does anyone have an educated guess or theory as to why they are still hatching all the k3 approvals from 06 March and on? I really hope mine is not a rotten egg by now. And speaking of rotten eggs, what are those guys doing over there... I'm just really curious what exactly, they are waiting for to start working again. This is like the Twilight Zone, only we're not watching it, we're in it...

Unfortunately the NCSC 1800 # is only a call center. They are not USCIS employees. This is why it is fondly refered to as the misinformation line. I really dont wish to bring you all down, but K-3's are affected by the IMBRA. This is stated in the act itself, plus the draft of the I-129F. This is the reason for cases that were filed on 6 March or later seeing no approvals yet at NBC and why the processing date is back at March 5 like the VSC.

I really do wish you all the best and I hope it isn't too much longer before you hear something.

So let's entertain ourselves while we're here, because a "watched kettle never boils." We're too focused on trying to predict how long this will take, but we're working with limited information. As my down-to-earth husband in Toronto says, it takes however long it takes. We're better off trying to predict the direction of the stock market, or the winning lottery numbers. If I get any more gray hairs over this, my husband won't recognize me when he finally does get here!

What's even worse is that I contacted the Immigration "specialist" at my congressman's office yesterday and she had no knowledge of IMBRA. #######?!??

No one knows about how much the K-3s are affected by this IMBRA. DHS has not recalled K-3/K-4 petitions yet. The new processing date updates which would be any day this week can give us some idea. NBC was processing March 6 dates as of May 22. USCIS may request for more information from the petitioner and thus delay the processing in worst case scenario. So please stop worrying, it is not in our hand.

Do not believe what USCIS customer service says, sometimes, they don't provide accurate information.
