Hie All,

I have got married to a US Citizen in March 2008 and My wife has filed our paper work on 19th may 08 i was wondering how long the process will take.We have filed and sent my paper work to Vermont Service office.

till Nov 6 the status on USCIS was "File received and pending"

but then after it has been changed to "This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred"

what does this mean?

What can be approx time to go for the approval.

I would appreciate if somebody could help me out understand it better.

Dear Vishabhai.....People who filled in jan-feb 2008 are still waiting for approval....so, keep relax.....its long procedure and this is game of waiting..after approval also you need good luck for NVC waiting...

vermont send overflow files to calif for quicker approval, be glad yours prob went there now it will go quick, you should also get a letter explaining this

I you check the processing time for Vermont Service Center shows that the still dealing with February applications but you'r close!!! you'll get there soon.

Hi peter

i know People who filled in jan-feb 2008 are still waiting for approval. But i have also came across the cases where in people who filled on 29th on may 08 got the approval on 1st of december. so was a bit confused.

Orlando,

Our case has been transffred to california service center and they are proccessing the current files.
