now where did u get that number from? 61 is area code for brasilia isn't it? Rio are code is 21.

Well the lady said they have no record of her there which I figured they would say because my petition hasn't been approved here yet.

Still weird... if it was a scam phone call, it's very strange that the person knew my fiance was in the middle of an immigration case, seeing how there would be no record of it anywhere expect for my I-129F petition.

Still not sure what to make of it.

Was just a random lady. She just checked my fiance's last name, and first name and said they didn't have any record of her...

You ask if that's normal, for people to get calls from the consulate when they have no petition going. I trully think it was a prank or scam call.

It was a scam...probably someone your fiance told you were going through this process. The rio consulate doesnt even know about your case until it is transferred there....
